I can't explain why, maybe the forums and media over the years, but I've got it in my head that judges houses aren't their houses at all, they're just mansions for hire that have been rented for a week.

afaik sharon is the only judge that does actually use her own home

Bar series 1 and maybe 2 shes the only judge who used her real home - the one she had on her original stint and maybe even her last one featured on 'The Osbournes'

She did say they had just had some work done to it an the builders had just finished, so yes it is her house.
Ozzy is hardly going to have a bright blue pool is he ?

Well you are wrong, most people realise these aren't the actual judge's houses, but Sharon does use her own home and I am pretty sure on occasion Simon has used his LA mansion once or twice.
