I wouldn't bother trying

I think it's a good thing that Will isn't too much in the spotlight at this stage.

It didn't do Jason any favours.

I love Will's personality he makes me smile whenever I see him, good on him dressing the way he want's to and not following trends or worrying about what people think about him, he couldn't give a stuff

"Everything is for the benefit for the programme" in Strictly.
Or do you think they're all surprised that the camera is there?
He looks at it more than any of the others in training.

It's not that I don't like his singing, as I have said I have and I've already praised his performance in "Mrs Henderson Presents."

Echo all you say. Plough your own furrow and wear what you like Will. Jay was exactly the same, appearing in jumpers, patterned shirts, tracky bottoms and ripped jeans - didn't even wear a suit for the last ITT

He always makes me smile . He is joyful and fun . People should maybe learn from him how to be joyful instead of moaners

I don't mind his style in training clothes . Frankly they are no more weird than the ridiculous outfits Vicki Wotsit expects him to carry off in live shows .
Anyway I like whacky , can't be doing with drab and prissy .

Love Will, he is his own person, very comfortable in his own skin is how he comes across to me.

Agreed, he's at about the level I expected too.
I was surprised that he was an early favourite before the show started this year. I was thinking "ummm, not the Will Young that I've seen dancing!" He was described, during his Pop Idol audition, as dancing with two stinky gorgonzola strapped to his feet .... and although he's obviously worked hard over the years to learn routines for stage or TV appearances, that's just the thing - he always looks as if he's working hard, concentrating on every step. He's never really looked like a natural-born mover imo. But, to his credit, he's a very hard worker and a bit of a perfectionist. And I think he does love to dance, even if it's not a natural gift of his.

I don't think it matters at all what he chooses to wear during training, as long as he's comfortable in it, and if it maybe helps him get into character, no problem. As long as the costumes on the night are appropriate, and enhance the routine (still some room for improvement from War Drobe, I think!).

Do I think he's in danger of being overlooked? Well, he seems to generate a fair bit of discussion so no, not really. I think Will may be approaching it a little differently from the usual Strictly contestant. He's not trying to be in your face because 1) he's just not that kind of person and 2) he's not bothered about raising his profile. He's happy enough with his career as it is, doing a mix of music (recording and touring) and acting, in a way that fits around his lifestyle. Partaking in Strictly is just something that he's always said he found appealing - he likes the camp, glitzy OTT'ness of it all, and the opportunity to acquire another skill. I honestly don't think he cares about winning, he's just there to have some fun and enjoy the experience. Good luck to him!

I enjoyed his and Karen's interview on ITT tonight. He was relaxed and witty. In fact, I found it the most enjoyable interview so far this year.

I'm not so sure.”

Do you think you can actually live there? Seems to be shops, guest houses and the hotel... Does anyone have it as their ordinary home?!

My new life ambition.

ETA after a quick Google. No ☹️

In retrospect there can't be many people who actually live there.
After all, I've just remembered that Patrick McGoohan was number 6.

I have only just understood your joke!! At least three hours after reading it. Went to make a cup of coffee and it hit me. I am very very s l o w

It might be Doghouse's mention of No.6 that did it.

(I have a friend who is obsessed by Portmeirion. We've been so many times I could find my way round it in a power cut without once falling into the sea. Grudgingly, I love the place too)

Clever or inadvertent? It was one of his best.

From the state of his outfits so far, I would wager that Will has a big say in what Vicky Giggles puts him in...

Despite having never seen or taken notice of any dancing he may have done previous to Strictly, I had similar thoughts to you and did not buy one bit of his perceived status as an early frontrunner. I actually had Danny & Ore as my tips for early frontrunners before the dancing began.

Personally I love Will and think he comes across really well (outlandish clothes and all).

Just catching up on ITT and I think their salsa could be great!

I love Will, I think he's so funny. Loved his reference to Pop Idol and Simon Cowell in Sunday's results show I think him and Karen are a strong partnership too, I really hope he manages to stay on to the later weeks as I think he has potential but he won't necessarily shine until later on in the process.

Haha! I love The Prisoner, one of the weirdest things I've ever seen but really good too.

I'm hoping he'll stay for a good while yet, he's doing well I think. I really enjoyed him and Karen on ITT, very relaxed, witty and fun. I could'nt care less what he wears in training.

I quite like Will, I personally think he is memorable. He has a wacky style in clothes in the training room. But it is his own style, just as Anton tends to wear suits when he is in the training room. If i was lucky to meet him while walking my Dog, I would be quite happy to have a natter with him. See photo below so cute.

Will's great, he's got real character and pretty much a one off. 😁 I'm really looking forward to their Bollywood salsa tonight, good luck Will and Karen!
