Who Could Win - The Apprentice 2016 (Week One)
As with last year, I'm doing a weekly poll on who you all think could be this years winning candidate in the show. Obviously in these first few weeks it might be hard to differentiate between them all, but it might be interesting to see how the final two have looked up until that point.
Wait until you've seen the episode to vote! |

Sofiane instantly jumps out as this year's "Candidate Lord Sugar will see himself in" and thus I think he'll get quite far.
I also like Samuel, Oliver and Karthik, though the latter will probably just end up as "comedy relief" similar to Jason or Felipe and get fired around about the halfway point. Going off nothing but the first episode, the only candidate to actually have some sense and show *some* degree of skill (outside of Sofiane), was Trishna. So I think *going solely off the first episode* she could be a dark horse. Of course, it's far too early days, but she gets my vote. EDIT: People legitimately think Jessica will win? Lord Sugar strikes me as the type of guy who isn't going to stand being in a room with her for more than an hour, how on earth do people believe he'll be happy to go into business with her

Same here.
Daft to even vote at this stage. We know nothing! |

Samuel seemed competent and Trishna spoke up and made some good points. As is usual with the first episode, there were some we barely saw, so very difficult to judge at this stage.

Sofiane was the instant standout - cool, calm and level-headed. Trishna was a blunt-speaking close second. Grainne also looks like one to watch. BTW: Why is Michelle included in this poll? Quote:

I have no idea how you guys can possibly remember who all these people are and what their names are after only just one show.
I can only remember about four or five and can only remember the names of two of them. |

Thanks. I'm sure it won't help though. As soon as I've left this forum I'll have forgotten again. I think with this show I need to have my memory of contestants anchored with moments of supreme arseholeness. ![]() For example 'Samuel Boateng'. Who on earth is that? I'm convinced that there's no way he was on last night's show. Of course he must have been, but I have absolutely no recollection of him. The only contestants I remember a name to put to a face are Paul, Jessica, and Sofi. Now I've got their faces in front of me my memory has been jogged with recalling their faces, (except for Samuel) but I would still have no idea what their names were. |

Sofiane was the only person that looked half decent among the 18 (Okay I blame the edit because I feel like I don't know 8 out of the remaining 17)
I will be surprised if Sofiane doesn't stay till interviews. And probably this was already the winner edit. |

To those who're saying it's too early to vote, I can see what you mean. We know very few of the candidates, and the ones we do know aren't necessarily for the right reasons. I still think it'd be good to vote, though. Sofiane seems like a viable choice to win at the minute. |

Whilst there are certainly some who the edit has shown more than others, EVERY contestant has at the very least had a line or two if you carefully rewatch the episode. For instance, Samuel the black dude was shown in an interview criticising the PM's "lack of leadership".
Based on the edit, I'd say Samuel, Grainne, Sofianne, and to a lesser extent Trish and Alek have been shown in a good light so far which means they probably are the ones most likely to do well in the competition. |
