Think possibly just 2 new intro clips tonight:

Jess asking 'why are you lying' in Losers Café, and Trishna/Frances car clip (this one might have been shown already in a previous intro clip, but they were definitely talking about a female candidate and there were just the 2 of them in the car, could be VR task possibly)

YF clips seem to indicate possibly Dillon and Paul as PMs? Didn't quite get the end show clips to check BR placings.

Yeah, it's Dillon vs Paul, I was convinced the RT talking about the task being "a dream come true for one of the PMs" meant it'd be Jess, but apparently it was referring to Dillon after all!

At the moment this seems to be the teams going into week 10:

Spoiler

Would guess that Alana does not get fired next week, by the way.

In a way, it is a pity that they didn't go back to boys vs. girls like at the end of series 6. If they had held back on some of the clips, we would then not have known what the full team was (for instance only showing the three girls for week 9).

Looks like you agree with my post #88 back on the previous page, I think Alana is just getting so much negativity right now in the edit, that I'd be surprised if she doesn't go next week.

One interesting thing though from tonight's ep: that little spat with Alana and Dillon, hardly mentioned in the BR. Wonder why? Is it because it would have gone against Dillon's 'nice guy' narrative, or is it because it would have meant more negativity for Alana? Personally I'd say the former, which means Dillon will definitely be on his way sooner rather than later. Still can't see him going before Alana though.....

It all depends on which team wins the week 9 task.

The RT has posted the description for that week and it is indeed the task we have been expecting. However, it also hints at the PM for what I presume is

Based on that and the possible intro clips for that week, I see a number of possibilities in regard to the PM on that team:

As for the subteam mentioned, My pick would be

Think it is highly likely that the PM is fired if that team loses.
But that might be the third one in a row.

Well, don't think any of us expected that firing! PMs next week seem to be Trishna and Sofiane (he and Courtney swap).

Tech guy clip must have been a deleted scene from a previous task. Don't think we have any intro clips to tell us what happens beyond next week.

I think Jess has gone ahead of Frances in my personal rankings, Frances is coming across as so big-headed and she was lying about what happened in the BR (Paul was telling the truth) - so much of an ass-kisser this ep. LAS and Karren/Claude were backing Jess all the way too.

It goes completely against what happened in the ep, but then Claude didn't seem to criticise her in the BR either unlike LAS who really went for her (he did criticise the food but didn't mention her); could be she's his favourite. So glad YF brought up the two-faced side she showed tonight, she could still get to the final 2 as the more unlikeable candidate (there is usually one), Claude also backed Courtney who Paul reckoned was floating along (his bad tour wasn't really mentioned in the BR either).

I don't know, I just feel that the edit is showing Frances in a really bad light, and it's done that for a few weeks now - on the other hand, Jess has been getting praised quite a bit recently (item finding task aside, but even then LAS and Karren/Claude didn't really question Trishna as to why she wasn't brought back) and Claude even said in his aside whilst the final 3 were outside the BR that her fault during the task (the lower pricing) was also a fault that Sofiane had. It could be a massive reverse edit job, especially as everyone outside of the show reckons Trishna is one to watch but the edit isn't really showing that.

Trishna edit is way too under the rader for me to consider her. I think they are all getting bad edits if I am honest. Courtney is too dull. Sofiane is just awful. Dillon is too much of the nice guy and seems to be more the entertainer rather than the business guy. Alana is too much of a push over. Jess is shown to be a liar. Francis seems a bit big headed. And granny has the face of a dogs arse. I mean does she ever smile.

I think granmy and francis will be the first 2 now actaully. Let's hope francis takes it. She to me is still coming across the best of a bad bunch

To me, the edit is showing Frances as overly smug and a bit of a snake in the grass.
It wouldn't surprise me if she got her comeuppance before the final.

Jessica seems a bit unstable.

Trishna is surely far too quiet to survive much longer.

Sofiane might have gone tonight if he was in the boardroom, for the same reason as Samuel.

Grainne started well, but has faded.

Dillon has had his moment to shine now and won't last much longer.

Courtney doesn't seem much good to me, but never seems to get any criticism.
I'd be surprised if he isn't in the final.

Alana seems very nice and might well reach the last 2 because of the ineptitude of the others.

They're quite a rubbish bunch aren't they.

The edit is throwing Frances under the bus, lol.

For me the final two seem to be Alana and.......Sofiane? Honestly can't see Courtney getting there at this point.

Dillon is a lightweight even with the victory, Trishna is still under the radar, Grainne got a very telling edit for next week's show (and it was her in that VR suit, watch the preview) and Jessica is just a liability.

Next week it seems that

lose and that the final 3 are:

Current edit seems to have Courtney and Jess as possible final 2, they've both had a bit of negativity thrown their way but the others are either one more strike and you're out (Alana, Sofiane, and Grainne/Frances to a lesser extent) or not visible enough (Dillon/Trishna). Jess has been on a roll since that shambolic task 2, and Courtney just seems to be getting on with it and he's not been back to the final 3 yet iirc (although he must do as we know he loses as PM at some point - must be task 10).

Paul admitted on YF that up until Frances stabbed him in the back in the BR, he was going to bring in Sofiane instead - make of that what you will. Grainne didn't really get talked about much on there when they were discussing the remaining candidates, seemed to be mainly Trishna and Courtney.

LAS has been making digs about Frances for the last 2 weeks (that comment tonight about her going back to old ways and backing the losing team was a low blow) and he really went for her tonight (do think he was a bit harsh). Must be a reason for it though?

I do think though that Paul should have been allowed to bring everyone in as he initially wanted to do, because really, no-one did well on that task (Jess was scapegoated unfairly by the entire team but you can't say she did a good job).

No candidate is coming over as a standout performer whatsoever, so whoever wins would be the best of a bad bunch. Up until this week you could have argued Paul's case, but he was running Karthik close for award of worst PM tonight. He made Samuel and Grainne's week 5 spat look like a minor tiff.

Worst series ever possibly?

With your prediction for the final two, the rumoured lovers, we could be headed towards the worst series ever.

Apart from Frances perhaps, Jess would probably be my last choice as female finalist (though going by business, Lord Sugar probably has her much higher).

And good point about Courtney's PM stint, if that is indeed a loss in week 10 then the other team (of three?) are through to the interviews and next week's firing becomes even more important.

Sadly, it seems so obvious who will be fired next week (and that person has arrived in London today, just before the weekend). And there is usually only one shock firing surprise per series, so......

I guess this is the spec thread now lol, I've been so shit this series

I really don't think Sofiane will be final two, he was sidelined this week because nobody trusts him to do anything anymore. If he really does lose as PM next week he'll have to do some next-level begging to get past the BR IMO.

I actually wouldn't rule Trishna out, her edit reminds me a lot of Vana's last year - not a huge character but she's been shown to be the voice of reason a number of times. I really don't have a clue though, which makes this more exciting!

See post #117

There is still a reason why that person might survive, a certain intro clip, but right now I prefer to go with what the editing is shouting at me (see also Courtney's remark to camera on the treat they got).

Remember like it was yesterday that they threw Liz Locke under a bus in series 6 (to the point where people were glad she got fired instead of Stu Baggs).

At least Vana was visible throughout the series.
You could be forgiven for fogetting that Trishna was still in it based on the past few weeks.

No you wouldn't. its clear that Trishna keeps on getting things right, and gets complimented on doing well at something - the tour this week, her plan when she lost as PM . She stayed on her record, or offer, when she lost as PM. She also gets what went wrong ,and Sugar repeats her analysis. This week she predicted why Paul would go ,and why. She can readSugar , and she doesn't collapse under pressure.

The negatives on the others just pile up Frances, Alana and Jessica would look like high maintainance, and make unprofessional big mistakes. . Sofiane is pretty useless, prone to sulk , and uncontrollable . Courtney is laid back, not that bright, and useless, Dillon is utterly useless. Grainne is competent, but not getting the brownie points anywhere.

Trishna's issue is a PM win , but without her, there's no one there who wouldn't look like a terrible winner , with multiple faults and failures to their name.
