Anyone else wonder what Samantha Lavery's parents were thinking?

Giving your child the initial S when the surname is Lavery! S LAVERY is just ridiculous.

Am I the only one who didn't even notice that it spelt 'slavery'?! Seems a very pedantic thing to criticise surely!! Does anyone actually care?!

I don't think many will pick up on it.

I did hear of someone having the name Russell Sprout

I doubt it occurred to them, it certainly hadn't to me. Samantha is from my part of the country, and I've just checked the local phone book, where S and A (three each) are the most popular first initials for Laverys after J (six).

It's the clearly premeditated names that make me wonder, like that of a childhood friend, April Schauer.

Yeah that one passed over my head too.
I get it now it's been pointed out, but I could appreciate this mightn't be something her folks took into consideration.

I went to school with a Gaynor Hardon. Some people just don't think.
