Love Michael Ball, as a presenter. He's very endearing.

Alfie and him singing?

Oh yawn

Oh dear, I doubt I will watch, I don't like either of them especially when they are singing.

Why not simply watch the pro dance couple instead?

I eagerly await Andrea Bocelli, Andre Rieu, Il Divo, Rod Stewart and whoever else they seem to trot out every year.

You can put money on it not being Cliff Richard.

Anastacia and Ed, and Strictly gets Balls deeper in the competition.
Mr. Socks from the Beeb told me, in return for a saucer of lactofree.

Well, that is something to be thankful for.

"Names" doing their turns are aleays the low point of the show for me. I would so prefer it if the band provided the music for a professional couple.
There is no pleasure in watching over the hill acts failing to match the musical skills of the professionals sitting behind them.

That's the problem with this show.
The BBC is constantly ratings chasing.

They can't get it into their heads that these little known to dance enthusiasts, or "past it performers" are just an unwanted intrusion. They are only included as they think it will add to the viewing numbers.

They make a big "production job" of introducing them, (I bet Claudia cringes at the amount of enthusiasm she's expected to show) and some of us think; "Big deal!"

The band is slightly more visible now, but in the past they've done their best to "hide them under the stairs."
For dance fans, the band was always part of the experience.

You're dead right. They do. It's very tedious Andre Rieu and his animated lampshade ladies make me feel nauseous. Saccarine.

I actually love opera, but not when it's sung by this lot.

I'm leaving Rod out of this line up. Ugh. He looks like some ageing ex spiv gangster mouldering away in Marbella, who gets dragged out once a year to do 'a bit of a song' for dear old Aunt Madge's birthday. Creaky.

With his dress sense on occasions, he reminds me more of an aging Private Walker from Dad's Army.
