Typical BBC production, Anti-Brexit and Anti-Russian, great to see the Brexit win and Trump victorious, the Luvvies at the BBC need to get over it.

I'd say it's been a middling series, some good, some bad.

Worse than the series earlier this year, that was one of the best in a long time.

Should be interesting considering what's happened this week.

Wow - You're reduced to quoting yourself to reinforce your own already stated view. Just, Wow....

Should these topics not be lampooned in a political satire TV show?

There's not much comedy in being pro-Trump, Pro-Brexit and supporting a government that supports Assad's death squads.

Why is it that right-wing people have a persecution complex?

Now that Merton has found his "on button", he's hardly shutting up.
Not that I'm complaining.

It was much funnier this week, thanks to Charlie Brooker

Toblerone stuff was good but he dragged it out a bit. Lipman loved his weak Ocelot stuff.

US comics based in the UK must be feeling good about their decision after this week.

Well that was pretty tedious. Lipman isn't as funny as she thinks she is.

I suppose with a career longevity like hers she wouldn't much care what an anonymous DS critic thinks of her.

Great show, Paul really on form and Lipman came good in the end. Brooker is also a great host.

Tonights was the worst show ever. Nothing funny at all. This should have been one of the better ones, but just too predictable lefty crap. Charlie Brooker is not funny & if he is on again I won't bother watching. The 'guests' were just not funny. Boring, Boring, BORING.

So what do you want them to do, say Trump is amazing? How would that be entertaining? The position of HIGNFY is to be anti what's going on in the world, it can't be helped the world is receding to right wing nationalist governments, HIGNFY is simply opposing it which comes across as left wing.

You'll notice they also had a dig at Jeremy Corbyn so how they can be lefties I don't know.

People complain way too much about this one programme, just enjoy it!

Hmm! why do I get the feeling you would have been far happier with the president of the KKK hosting the show?

What an angry programme.

I have to say, as one of the many people who went at the election result, that what we've seen of Trump since his victory makes me think his bark is going to be much, much worse than his bite. So I think we shouldn't worry too much.

Isn't that what is supposed to happen on a satirical news quiz show e.g. lampoon the pompous idiots that are charged with governing the world? I don't think you quite understand the remit of shows such as HIGNIFY.

I suspect that if Clinton had won the election then tonight's programme would have had a quite different tone.

I expect them to be funny. They were just too predictable & NOT funny. Trump comes over to me as an awful person, & I expected this to be one hell of a show as a result of the US election, but they just came over as sore losers. It just was not funny, full stop.

Look I don't like Trump, I wouldnt have voted for him if I was an American.

But I'm getting awfully tired of constantly hearing voices and jokes about him causing the end of the world and just a constant stream of derision about it. It was a democratic election, people voted. Hillary was the one incidentally who was more at danger of war and military expansion. It's just all the same voices rounding on him too. Do the BBC and Ian Hislop/Charlie Brooker etc not realise that their kind of sneering is exactly why people turn to Brexit and Trump? (two decisions I must stress again I fundamentally disagree with, but respect they won a democratic vote). Millions of people watch HIGNFY every week and no wonder they want to kick the establishment when posh Ian Hislop and Charlie Brooker are telling them they are morons.

Trump looks silly and he has insane views about things so I expect him to be the subject of satire. The problem is there was literally one quip made about Hillary and it is the same with all these panel shows I've seen the last week. Hillary was absolute balls. The Democrats are not some infallible humanitarian organisation FYI.

They forgot this is meant to be a comedy entertainment show this week and just made it a political tirade against Trump so it just was boring. It proves the BBC are losing the plot

They should have had someone like Katie hopkins or Clarkson as the host that would have been funny as it would have set up some banter.

Lipman wasn't in the least bit funny and just came across as bitter. Total waste of time. Is this the policy where they have to have a female guest on now ?
