EE Whitney and Lee and their baby theory
Do you think Whitney will lose the baby? I mean yesterday they had her have a twinge and in the preview she has another twinge and she looks worried and Linda asks her whether she'd tell her if something is wrong. Also how happy Lee and Whitney are is being a big deal made of lately especially in yesterday's ep. I mean she even has that bracelet and them being excited about the baby moving and not wanting to be apart from each other and It's like something bad is about to happen and is about to shatter that.
I do think Lee might die BUT I think it's to do with the baby because of the emphasis on that. Like maybe something happens to the baby and Lee can't deal with it and kills himself? Or would that be going too far? Like the baby dying and then Lee would be too harsh?? |

I have Always felt Whitney will miscarry. Lee wont be able to cope. Would be a huge storyline if Lee killed himself.

I hope not. Having a baby could be the making of Whitney.

I think that something happens to the baby too. It was from that scene with Lauren and the counter that made me think it.
The result of that will be Lee heading into a downward spiral with his depression that will ultimately led to his exit. Tho, if that is the case how will the explain Linda's abscence whilst it is all ongoing |

I don't really want Whitney to have a baby if Lee is leaving. I'd rather she had a baby with someone who was sticking around. Also, I don't really want Lee to die, I think it's too early for a Carter kid death, we've had Lucy and Paul in recent years, plus we would have to see Mick and Linda grieving for ages which would probably be really miserable to watch, especially as they tend to exaggerate even the small stuff.

That would mean more Carter scenes though, I think we need a break from them. The only one I find interesting is Babe.
I think they Are due a bigger Storyline. |

I think we're heading towards some kind of tragedy for Lee and Whitney, the scenes last week had a sense of foreboding about them. If Lee does commit suicide it would be a massive storyline and would certainly be a plausible reason for Kellie Bright to temporarily leave - say if he dies in the Vic and so Linda decides she can't be in the same house that her son died in and she was raped in so goes to stay with Elaine for a bit. However for that to be totally plausible then unfortunately Whitney will also likely lose the baby - Linda is not the type of character that would leave Whitney to cope alone with Lee's death, especially if she was still pregnant with her son's child, regardless of how difficult Linda found it. Either way, I suspect the happier, settled period in Albert Square that we've enjoyed recently is not going to last...

I think it would be INCREDIBLEY Brave of EE to kill off Lee. It would be a bold move, and after the lovely scenes scenes that we've had of them as a couple, it would be a massive storyline to have Lee die. I would applaud EE for doing it, and it would really prove the worth of these softer community scenes of late when they are juxtaposed by something as catastrophic as a suicide on the square.
But with Babe and Linda leaving, is it that likely that Lee is dying? Would the pair of them leave their family behind after such an ordeal? Maybe we'll see an attempted suicide, which results in Linda taking Lee away for a bit (but she obviously returns alone) |

Most of the others have dates or late 2016 etc for leaving or returning whereas Lee has tbc. I also imagine his contract will be up around Feb-April time |

It could also be the making of some characters who have been rather stagnant of late. |

I have been wondering what is going to happen to force Lee to leave when him and Whitney have so much going on and then also Linda leaving too.
However if Lee were to die would that be too soon after Paul, and with the baby if she were to miscarry would that be too soon since Shabnam? |

I do think Lee dying seems to be the way this is heading. They are making a big deal of them both being really happy so you know what that means. If Lee is dying then Christmas seems more likely as they wouldn't kill him off while Linda is not there and Linda is on screen until January.

There's definitely a lot of foreshadowing going on, so obviously something is going to happen. My first thought was also Lee commiting suicide.

That's very true, and you can even flip it round so that Lee's death gives Linda a reason to return home.

Different for the others as with the cokers and babe current stories are ending and with kyle his contract is ending |

Good point. Kellie said she will be away for six months. So if she goes on leave from November then that means she returns to filming April/May and will be back on screen June/July. I can't see Lee still being around then.
Shona said his exit is to further storylines. Ted has said he knows how Lee leaves so its obviously all written ready to be filmed. Quote:

Aren't suicides higher over Christmas too? I just wonder what would trigger Lee to kill himself when he has the baby to look forward too? I hope they get the depression aspect 100% right. Also I suspect Lee's exit date not being revealed is because if he does kill himself they want the audience to be shocked and surprised. |

I think a death for Lee is on the cards, but I hope that Whitney does have the baby. Danny Dyer, Kellie Bright and Shona McGarty are brilliant when it comes to doing emotional and dramatic scenes. It would also open the door for Kellie Brights maternity leave, and would be a great opportunity to give Shona McGarty some great storylines.
