Not sure if this belongs here but not sure where to put it! The Aux button on my car stereo has stopped working. Its a factory fit model - Ford 6000CD. There is an aux button that I used to use when connecting mp3 player via 3.5 jack cable. I havent used it in about 2 months and now when i press it, Aux is shown on display (which it should be), but then it goes off after about 2 secs and reverts back to where it was before, be that radio or CD. Any ideas anyone pls?

Googling brings up a number of solutions to this problem which seems to be common with Fords. This one is from AV forums but there are others out there.

This sorted it for me - press and hold the central power button for 10 -15 seconds until the display goes blank. It should then start up again and in the two times the problem has occurred on my S-Max, the Aux setting started working again properly, staying selected.
