I dunno maybe I doth protest too much but I don't see a lot wrong with liking a fictional couple together. I mean *tries to think of something a popular* ooh I know...lots of people like Poldark with Demelza and Mr Darcy and Elizabeth. A ship is just a preference really, and the best dramas and stories get the 'ships' right or to appeal to the most people. Then there'a actors chemistry. And er yeah, I have thought about this way too much

Anyway, ermm.... don't do it Giovanni, or least if you do, keep it out of the papers and off bloody Instagram.

I hate to say this but showmances at strictly seldom work here in the long run . Apparently she is good friends with Georgia as well.

I don't know what all the hype is about Gio whether romance or not with Laura, feel sorry for Georgia reading about all this speculation.

Changing the subject briefly I nearly called my new Maltese Puppy Giovanni but changed my mind as I don't find the SCD human version that attractive couldn't do that to my sweet little pup.

If they have chemistry it proves they're crap but if they do have chemistry it's bad because it's disrespectful or he's a love rat or something 🙄

I don think it was that quick as I remember seeing Shaun quite a number of weeks in the audience supporting Georgia.

I don't care about the rights or wrongs of it.

I am too heartless to care about other people's stuff.

It's too vicarious.

Eating, sex, taking a dump... they're all things you have to do yourself. Not spectator sports

Not sure they are 'good friends'. I've followed Laura for a while on Instagram and it's only since the launch (or maybe just before) that she's been pictured with Georgia and then just once or twice. I think it's a recent acquaintance.

I think Gio and Laura are just friends. People said stuff about Pasha and Caroline .. and before Caroline .. Kimberley. Not many people (if anyone) said anything about Pasha and Rachel. You have to have a good working relationship with your dance partner. You're going to be upside down with your gusset in his face about ten days after being introduced. It's a sort of fast track friendship. If the two people involved are particularly beautiful then the rumour mill starts. We read too much into it though. We shouldn't sink to the Daily Mail's level

What a stupid, ridiculous term .

I don't "ship" them but I won't be surprised if they end up together, especially if they're doing the live tour. I've always said that it's the ones who don't look like they have much chemistry that end up getting together.

Won't be bothered either way.

This is why I choose not to pass comment on the end of Georgia and Sean's relationship (I'm not saying you were btw - I agree with your original post) - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...tly-final.html

It's ship as in relationship, and a whole load of nautical metaphors have evolved around it.

Agree! It makes no logical or grammatical sense. I guess it's like any private lingo that escapes into the world and goes feral.

Even the thought behind it sounds so juvenile !

It's not commonly used by anyone over the age of 19. It really came from "relationship = 'ship for short" and kids started talking about "shipping" their favourite boyband members etc.

I think we've got it summed up here. Kids or ppl who are old enough to know better obsessing over other peoples private lives online are hardly staunch grammarians.

Don't get me started on 'otherkin'...

Otherkin has escaped me. What's that one then? Just quickly! I don't want to aggravate you too badly

Well, Georgia and Giovanni's Appreciation thread should rather be named Georgia and Giovanni Shippers Thread.

Better stick to fictional characters I'd say.
