It's hard to choose who should be top between Ore and Caudia in how much I enjoyed their dances, but I think Ore's American Smooth was better artistically and in performance.

Oreo was OK but he's not my favourite

Jo's choreography was superb and Ore dance excellently, but just a little flat-footed for me in parts (but not on the steps, Craig ) and his posture in hold could have been a bit better.

For me, Claudia and AJ were better

I think Ore & Jo were pipped tonight by Danny & Oti and Claudia & AJ, but I think Ore is Danny's main competition. I don't think any of the other male celebs (including Greg) will be as good as them. Ore is a real natural and I hope he keeps getting better.

Ore's dance was my favourite of the night.

If you just consider the way the celebrity performs the dance technically then Danny would have won every week so far and probably would win every week to the end. He is the best male ever to take part by far.

However, I take the dance's overall impact, the music, costuming, choreography, the theme and the technical performance.

That is why I prefer Jay's Jive to Danny's Paso though Danny danced better technically with a more difficult routine.

I agree. Greg started too far behind the starting line if you know what I mean. However he has improved extraordinarily well and really seems to get it. If he had had a year to learn I think he could give either of them a run for their money.

There were some outstanding performances last night, but, ties aside, only one can top the leaderboard. Just because he didn't come top, doesn't mean that there is a gulf between him and, say, Danny. Ore looks like becoming this year's chief journey contestant, which should see him go a long way - possibly into the Final.

There was nothing much wrong with his foot work, for the steps that were shown, weaves, runs back and 3 steps of reverse wave, he SHOULD be on his toes. Well done to Ore, not many men celebs manage that ( well done to Jo of course)[i]. Men must not allow their heels to lower to the floor when travelling backwards. I thought the level of technical ability he displayed in the dance was astounding, even more so as he has not danced before.

Thanks for that. I don't know much about these dances. I was starting to doubt myself due to all the technique nit picks, but I've read enough of this forum to know you know what you are talking about.

I was really, really impressed by his dance and agreed with Bruno's description of it. He's got my attention from here on in and I hope he's here for the long haul. I think he's capable of improving and impressing for quite a while longer.

Claudia was way up top for me, but Ore was definitely second best. My one quibble with Ore in general is "too much face"; he is as bad as Rinder (who I also enjoy watching, but I do think needs to tone down "the face" a notch or two) but this week it fit the bill, so.

In short, well done Ore

I like Ore and Danny and Claudia too. But I wasn't that taken by her Claudia's Charleston. For me she is better than Aj and if Claudia is in the bottom two ever, it will be because of AJ IMO.

Please don't apologise, you and everyone else has the right to comment just as you see it. I am sorry you are not well, wish you better soon

Just to add that Ore did remarkably well with the footwork. It is essential that the man is on the toes, this keeping his weight towards his partner even when travelling backwards. It is instinct to lower heels and move backwards with weight going in the same direction. Jo has done a fabulous job with Ore is a week, not just the beautiful routine, but teaching him so much technique that he applied so very well. Loved it.

I thought Claudia and Danny were better but Ore was good

I do think the music helped Ore a lot, nobody should really fail at Singing In The Rain

The thing I loved about Ore's performance last night was he was SO laid back and confident. His footwork and following of the routine may or may not have been spot on - I wouldn't know because I was just mesmerised by his great characterisation and the ease with which he performed that fabulous routine.
As for the 'head wobbles'..you see Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire do stuff like that all the time in their dance routines. Well done to Ore ( or it might have been Joanne ) for even thinking of adding a great little detail like that.
I haven't liked his dances at all until this one, but credit where credit's due. If we're talking about an all-round entertainment package of a dance this one won it for me above ll the others last night.

Moving the weight onto the toes before the heels is something men in particular seem to find difficult. It is really unatural. Even when they do it many fidn it hard to do naturally and it can look like a mince. So my hat is off to any guy that masters it quickly.

I agree, the heels should not lower at all. All steps are on toes/balls of feet, no heels.I always think about showing judges back( underside) of shoes. Ore did this really well.
