Sorry to 'quote' myself................I meant Laura, not Louise. Should not go on message boards/forums after Pinot Grigio

1. Good for a theme week but probably no dances I will watch again. Maybe the standard is so high no one stands out?
2. Joanne redeemed herself with her choreography. Lots of nods to the original and she really showcased her partner.
3. Was really worried about Ed. Samba 😱He wasn't as good but it is a really hard dance. But never going wrong and always in time got him my votes.
4. Louise looked better in training. Disappointing.
5. Will, you have the chance to have your say in the Clauditorium. That was uncomfortable. Karen should have made the point that, with the music, it was going to have a Bollywood flavour. But for me, it went too far in that direction.

Ed Balls - wow talk about committing to the character. I watched it twice - smokin!

I think Lesley is amazing. Loved all the references to the original which she acted well. Can't believe she's so fit - although at the end was seriously worried about her for a minute!

Will shouldn't have said what he did to Len knowing what he's like even if it was true, however no way should Len have told him to shut up , far too aggressive and made for seriously uncomfortable viewing. Liked the dance.

Claudia & AJ - fabulous would have been pressed at times to know who the professional was.

Ore and Joanne lovely. Best of night for me. Simply gorgeous although could have done without the tears.

Cheeky 6 - I actually can't remember Laura or Daisy's dances at all !!

1. I have always loathed themed weeks and last night did nothing to improve my opinion
2. Jo's choreography for Ore was excellent. Every credit.
3. Thought most of the dances were overscored. The judges have left themselves little room for manouvere now.
4. The routines that could have been iconic from Claudia F and Louise both left me feeling rather flat. Expectation. It's a terrible thing.
5. Will played the foot in mouth card in exemplary fashion and then tried to play his get out of jail free card praising Len when upstairs with Claudia W. Hmmmm too little too late me thinks.

1. It was a very good show. But it feels very weird still not to have a favourite at this stage.
2. Jo and Ore were great. Perhaps she needs a theme to pull her choreography together.
3. I thought the camera work and background design was not that great and sometimes stopped a dance being as wow as it might have been.
4. I hope Will hasn't hurt his chances by speaking back.
5. I thought Ore or Claudia should have closed the show.

(6. Sorry the tango music is horrendous this year. Tameka's in particular gave her no chance of capturing the mood of the dance.)

I am not too keen on movie week. Some really good people get booted off because of what movie theme they are given. Some are lucky with the theme they are give and can really make it work.

1 I was mesmerised by Lesley's feet – I thought they were so pretty and accurate looking, though one of the judges complained about them I think. Anyway, I thought she was underscored.

2 I love Judge Rinder but he's so uptight and guarded – and I fear he's actually a bit awkward despite being very fit. I don't think Oksana brings very much to the partnership – she's just there and not contributing to the personality-side so it's all on him which is too much pressure - and it puts even more spotlight on his nerves or desperation or whatever it is.

3 I thought Danny was overmarked – I felt there was something wrong with his paso. No arch in his back to give the proper Spanish line, or maybe too over-eager, giving me slight flashbacks to Peter Andre. Ore was miles better, with such ease and style, and I hope he makes it to the final.

4 I didn't like Louise's dance - how did she make that dull?? - and she looked disappointed in her scores. These stage school kids are too neatly-packaged or something - and there are so many of them! Do half of English kids go to one and that's why Theresa May wants more grammars?

5 I love Katya and Gorka and hope hope hope they come back next year! They deserve a go with ringers.

1 It's all frankly far too good. Where is there left to go?
2 I didn't hate 'movie week' too much. I usually do. Although I do object strongly to the word 'movie'.
3 Costume department doing OK - can't think of a series that's gone this far without some outright shockers
4 Judging fairly uncontroversial
5 Really though I feel so 'meh' about it. Great standard. An embarrassment of riches. I find that a bit tiring, if I'm honest. I'm all about the J-ourney. And there aren't going to be any.

1. Danny and daisy - not holding my interest, too trained or whatever they've done, just dull.

2. Love Claudia and Aj, ore and Joanne and Greg and Natalie.

3. Think Greg can improve each week and be really good

4. Just hate Natalie's eye make up, makes her look a bit demonic, tone it down!

5. Can the judge do a serious dance next week please, I'd hate to see him go

I love Judge Rinder........was soooo excited he was going to be on SCD, but keep wondering where the confident, assertive guy is. He looks like a rabbit in the headlights for most of the time, and doesn't seem to interact with the others particularly well, always looking a bit awkward in the Clauditorium. I'd really like to see him quit messing around, Oksana take control and show us how well he can dance before it is too late!!!

Louise couldn't have looked more uncomfortable if she'd been stark naked
Very impressed with Greg's progress and I love Natalie anyway
Naga hates every minute by the look of it
Danny will get to the final I imagine but he's too good, too trained too early
Go Ed. He's thrown himself into it, is doing proper routines and Katya is great

1.Ore' - Fab -u- Lous. Blew Tom "I'm the new Fred Astaire" Chambers right out of the water.

2.Louise continued the consistently great performances but had a new confidence this week.

3. Danny's Paso couldn't have been better, imo. Great shaping, great drama, the right music. Very exciting to watch.

4. Greg & Natalie - bit of a curate's egg for me. The passion and character acting was superb but as soon as they got in to the ballroom hold it all seemed to collapse. You could almost see him thinking too much about the dance. I do like him though and I think he'll be in for a while yet.

5. Rinder is starting to grate on me now with his silly faces. He seems to be playing a character constantly, even when he's not dancing. As Len might say.." Do us a favour.."

I so agree about Danny, something was missing, for me it felt like someone who can dance pretending to do the paso and doing it how he saw it in his head, rather then how he was taught by Oti. If that makes any sense!

To some degree Gorka does have a ringer, just not one of the best ones this year (there are too many!). She knows how to dance and pick up a routine and has dance experience too.
I'm guessing even Rinder is one too, again not one of the best, but he can pick up dance and I don't think he learned a handspring in law school.

1. This was the best week of Strictly in a very long time. Really entertaining.

2. Ore and Claudia just became serious contenders. Loved both of them this week.

3. Ed & Katya are brilliant entertainment. I love how he's just throwing himself into it.

4. Len is a grumpy old git and it's getting very tedious and grating listening to him at this point. Glad Will talked back to him, though Len will have now marked his card.

5. I don't have one particular favourite (yet) this year, but I'm enjoying this year's group of celebs as a whole more than any other year I think.

1) Normally think the singers and band do a great job (fair play to them given the amount of songs they do) but their version of 'Jai Ho' didn't do much for me.

2) Ed & Katya are brilliant fun. Not the best dancer in the competition but actually giving it a go and having some fun and unlike the usual joke contestants there is actually an attempt to put a good routine with lots of content in. Katya is a brilliant new addition.

3) Really enjoying the Greg & Natalie partnership as well.

4) Feels odd to still have quite a few favourites still at this stage. They're a likable line-up this year.

5) Feels quite an open field this year. Danny already looks likely to be a contender (and I really like him & Oti despite him being a bit of a Ringah) and Daisy and Louise already look accomplished but there are quite a few contestants who could well be the 'journey' contestant and go very far - Ore, Greg and Claudia spring to mind.

Bonus: I do like Bruno's scoring. Most of the time in line with the rest of the judges' scores but occassionally if he really gets excited (by his standards) he'll just whip out whatever panel he fancies.

1. Great to see everyone having decent choreography

2. Loved Joanne's and Oti's choreography

3. Really enjoyed seeing Daisy's quickstep and Greg's American smooth. So good to see Natalie with a partner she has chemistry with.

4. Delighted that Louise had a costume that doesn't make her look frumpy.

5. What can I say about Lesley (amazing for a 70-year old), Rob Rinder and Ed Balls. So good to see people 'let themselves go' and have fun!

1. Great standard overall this year
2. Danny won't win. No journey.... he has already arrived
3. Naga looked fab but doesn't seem to be enjoying the experience
4. No obvious comedy acts this year
5. Louise a bit of a meh performance

1. Adored Ore & Jo and happy to see rightful praise for the choreography.
2. Impressed with Greg getting to grips with acting the dance so early on. A lot of non-theatricals really struggle with this element.
3. Producers got it wrong putting Louise on last.
4. Naga - feel sorry for her. It just isn't working.
5. Claudia W never fails to make me laugh. Brucie has become an ever-fainter memory.

1. Joanne's routine for Ore was superlative
2. Claudia is a proper pocket rocket and her and AJ's routine was superb.
3. Agree with Len about the bollywood swamping the Salsa. It should have been the other way round although granted difficult with the song choice which brings in my biggest pet hate about the show, shoehorning dances into the wrong rhythmn. I want to see the actual dance they are supposed to be doing presented. Save the fusions for show dances. On that routine not sure if Will can do a salsa or not.
4. I would have thought more of Will if he took the judgement on the chin.
5. An excess of funtime riches in Judge and Ed.

I just cannot get over the standard of the dancing this year, some of it is quite simply breathtaking. In some of the previous SCD series, we would have been lucky to see this stuff in the final!

I often think back to Chris Parker in the series 1 Final - just manically running around with a cape ...

1. Amazing Charleston from Claudia and AJ. Best of the night.
2. Winkleperson's Mary Poppins skit was precious. I loooove her.
3. There's no connection between Naga and Pasha. None
4. Good to see Ore showing real improvement. Knew he had it in him!!
5. Daisy is still my fave.

Bonus 6. Ed's bonkers and so into the experience, bless him! Len is right about Katya's choreo; she keeps Ed busy and doesn't just dance around him. Great stuff.

My thoughts exactly. They started off in week one giving out 8's, etc, so how can people have a 'journey' now to higher scores? There should be some form of restraint on them till at least week 4 I think, allow people to gain their footing and start to improve then show them the higher marks if they prove they are worthy of them. Waving an 8 paddle in week one is simply ridiculous because unless the contestant is already a trained dancer none of them should be at that level yet.

It was Ola who was most guilty of just "gyrating around her duffer partners while they stood still and waved their arms about".
