The best

8-Relley-near flawless vocals with attitude and fun, connected, moved well, and sang her heart out !Just enough of a belt to bring out the richness of her tone, but not push to a shout-y sound.Just high enough into her belt range to show it off .The choreography was more demanding than most got, and she was up to the task. She looked like she was having a great time toward the end.She just plain nailed it

7.5 5AM-good showmanship, some really solid vocals, and some actual high notes that didn't get credit like some who hit similar notes with less ease .The sound mix wasn't helpful, but through it I could hear some good harmonies and nice tone and agility going on .Factor in the high energy level of their choreography, and well done to them!

The good

7 Gifty-the track drowned half her lower register vocals, but it still was quite good, and she OWNED that performance. She looked amazing, and she has so much stage presence!

7 Matt-With such a suitable song and arrangement containing just enough to show his strengths but no difficult tempo or range demands, he should have had a wow moment. Instead,he again proved himself to be a competent singer with a good voice .He didn't seem to connect ,but it was still one of the better performances.*IF anyone is interested in the original version, it was written and performed by an outstanding singer/songwriter names Lesley Gore

The pretty good

6 Samantha-A bit forced, but still nice upper register through most of the song. Her lower register, however, was very shaky and uncomfortable. She is capable of better, and I am glad she will have a chance to show it.

6 Saara-The vocal was good through most of it, and gorgeous in the verses, but she is not a belter and sounded harsh trying. As for the performance, it was "Eurovision meets Miss Whatever Pageant". Saara has talent and I love that she takes risks, but this was self indulgent and tryhard.

6 Emily- I barely remember much , other than somewhat strained sounding vocals and thinking she sounds much better when she adapts songs and strums her guitar as she sings.I like Emily, but didn't enjoy this particular performance

The okay

4-Freddie-This just didn't work. Wrong song. I won't get overly critical. I will only say he has a very specific style and tempo in which he excels, and this song choice didn't bring out the best in his voice. That is a shame, because his best is outstanding in a subtle way.

4Ryan-He is and okay singer with an okay voice, and this performance was okay. He needs to find a way to stand out in performance and delivery if he wants a career, IMO

N/A-Honey G...o away-Watched 20 seconds, got bored, ff

N/A-Brattavio-watched 30 seconds, was mildly amused but not enough to keep watching

Great read, and a very fair recap of the first live show.
