No, I don't count Pitbull, just as I don't count Flo-Rida - both pop artists IMO.

And I've been a fan of rap music for a very long time.

we are being trolled and she is in on it

Yeah. Rap changed. I doubt either of us are happy but lets try to accept it

Well she is taking the pi*s but she is playing it well.

The whole persona is obviously an act and I think she is probably amazed she has made it to the live shows. She was probably hoping for a tv slot in the auditions at best.

Could someone who is playing a parody of the music scene actually win?

It would be a telling indictment of the shallow nature of the new 15 minute generation.

How does she seem autistic?

What symptoms do you think she's exhibited?

She's playing out a act with people behind the scenes pulling the strings. Does anyone really still believe that contestants are allowed to be themselves? It all makes television for the masses to talk about.

Not a single artist on the show is allowed to be theirselves which is a major reason why the show is pants.

The only "trolling" that's going on is that she's been put through because she's a novelty act and will raise the ire of viewers each time she gets through, so it'll keep the 'buzz' for the show high.

People can't seem to reconcile that she sees herself as a legitimate hip hop act.

Do you honestly believe she thinks she's a legitimate hip hop artist who can be the UK answer to Missy Elliott?

I'm undecided as to whether is genuinely is that deluded to think she's actually good or whether she's created a character and seeing how far she can get.
I don't go along with the idea that Cowell is part of the plan as I think she's done this off her own back but he's now playing along. Its more likely that she does like the music and has been involved in the scene for years without getting very far and so she's created this alter ego for the exposure

She actually comes across as a very nice person but the cartoonesqe image is all wrong.theres no way in a million years any credible rapper would get involved with her.I cant see Kendrick Lamar making a phone call anytime soon.people will keep her in for a while longer for the novelty value.

We all know that she has no talent, so why are people voting for her. Makes no sense to me.

I really do think she sees herself as a legitimate hip hop artist. You only have to look at the track she recorded three years ago when nobody had heard of her to see how seriously she takes it.

There's a guy I often see who lives in my area who will always be out wearing the stereotypical hip hop apparel, complete with Tupac t-shirts, but he's got to be 50-odd if he's a day and, to be polite, he's not exactly a skinny gentleman .

I'd wager money he probably thinks he can rap as well.

But I think you're right in that Cowell is going along with it though. It's obvious she's a act in the same vein as Wagner, in that she's clearly terrible but so terrible she'll actually end up being weirdly entertaining.

Difference is that Wagner was likeable but she doesn't even have that.

A lot of people seem to have changed their opinion of her after last night though.

I didn't see anything different in her last night, mind you I did have the mute button on whilst she was doing her act, or whatever it was supposed to be.

The whole series is a load of nonsense. HoneyG is dire, the chickengate fools are dire, and even most of the ok singers are dire, because they just shout.

Literally the ONLY 3 acts that are pretty good; Relley, Gifty, and Freddie.

It's funny because i've just caught myself thinking that I should probably watch the results show tonight to see if she goes through.

Thing is, I haven't watched X Factor properly in years - I used to watch the auditions, mainly for the crazies, but i even got bored with that and just stopped watching.

So I suppose if I can be 'convinced' to watch at least part of the X Factor then I guess you can see why she was put through - obviously not for me specifically because i'm nobody special, but, as i've said, as a divisive figure that will draw people in.
