Were some of them singing over the original track?

Noticed this particularly with Ryan singing Perfect. I know that song really well and it would be impossible to imitate so precisely the weird French accent Harry Styles puts on for the chorus. Ryan sounded like he was singing over it. Same with Matt - I could hear the original in the background.
Anyone else notice this?

I mentioned this to my girlfriend during the montage of performances. A lot of them were singing over the original tracks... very strange.

Yes, it was really obvious in the recaps I thought, but no-one else on here seems to have noticed!

I noticed this too. I thought a lot of them had quite loud backing tracks. Relley was another.

It was noticeable that acts didnt when they were struggling to hit the notes e.g. 5AM on the falsetto in the chorus of Can't Stop The Feeling.

i dont think its the original tracks but afaik the show commonly uses pre-recorded versions by the contestant as part of the backing vocals and they then sing "live" over that

At this stage I'd expect to see them struggling a lot more to hit notes. Matt's voice is nowhere near as strong as Grace's. I wish he'd attempted the G-Eazy rap because that makes the song for me.
big bang theory

Both were getting help to sound better than they were.

However it didn't cover up Ryan very well.
