It's so obvious he's gonna win, the rest of the boys are awful and so are the girls.

More obvious than Sam Bailey (who was head and shoulders above everybody else) and Louisa Johnson (who they purposely surrounded with average / rubbish acts to ensure her win)?

The problem is I don't know if I should have a problem with it or not.

It's clear that they are giving him some sound engineering to sound better than he actually was tonight, but whilst his getting help, and that his a bit bland, I honestly can't help but feel that there's possibly even worse than him in the competition so no wonder they're favouring their Louis lookalike.

Honey G will win this. You read it here first.

The 3 boys should be put together in a boy band

Yes. The only ones close to him vocally are Relley and Saara but obviously the show won't be pushing either of those 2 for the win.

5am are supposed to be his competition, but they were crap tonight.

To be fair is he vocally stronger than a lot of the other acts this year. He's no Relley C or Saara Aalto, but let's be honest here, neither of them is going to come even close to winning.

All things considered, I wouldn't even be mad if Matt won. Rather him than Honey G.

I do agree with what your saying. He is good. But he is a decoy. They are pushing a group this year. Even the groups are hard to get over the line I cant see Matt winning.

I don't think they will be pushing for a female win this year.

I thought they were going to push for a group to win too, but after tonight I'm not so sure.

Bratavio are out for obvious reasons, they're just here to entertain the GBP for a couple of weeks and generate some headlines along the way.

Then we have Brooks Way, who looked promising until they got a bye for tonight's show following some rather serious accusations - if the media are to be believed (they hardly ever are, but the general public tends to buy it).

Finally there's 5AM, but they got the "death slot" on the first live show which is almost never a good sign as it tends to signify that the producers don't care for them all that much. However, for all I know I could be wrong and they purposely made them go on first just to mess with popular theories and patterns betters tend to use.

He looks very familiar - Don't know if it's someone i know or someone famous that he reminds me of.

Edit - just realised who he reminds me of - Louis Tomlinson

I honestly believe Matt appearing to be TCO is a decoy!

Has no one else noticed that it's becoming quite difficult to second guess XF this year?

Whilst their manipulations are clearly still there i think TPTB are doing a whole lot of double bluffing this year!!

I cant work out who for but defo a decoy imo !

I must be in the minority, I didn't think Matt was good last night, I don't see what's so special about him. Relley C was for me the best last night, and as much as I hate to admit it, I liked Honey G as well. The rest for me were very disappointing.

I don't see how the show is helping him more than others? Maybe I've missed something but he sang well and deserves to go far. If he gets gets the most votes and wins then fair enough...!

I'd like everyone to get big song choices next week that fits their style, and still see if Matt Terry stands out.

So you think that other acts get song choices to make them seem not as good? I don't believe that to be the case...

Just look at the song choices last night.

5 After Midnight - Sabotaged
Samantha - Not given a Rock song therefore sabotaged
Saara - Annoying Disney song - sabotaged
Ryan - Boring 1D song - sabotaged
Gifty - Unknown song - sabotaged
Freddy - Lack of staging or a compelling song choice - sabotaged
Emily - An Indie Folk type of singer being given a Dance track on Express Yourself is the very definition of sabotage imo.

Matt Terry and Relley were the only real "talent" that wasn't being given shoddy material.

Agree about Relley, but have to day Honey G is awful.

Agree with all this ^^^ However, I don't agree that Matt is good. I think he is bland and dull and average.

Freddie is good, but Simon isn't keen on him, therefore he is set to fail from the onset.

Matt is the darling of the show (and Cowell,) because he looks like Louise from 1D. If he wins, his career will go down the sh1tter like all the other solo male singer, because he's boring and average.

I don't agree, I thought 5 after midnight were great. They were given a song which is current and where they could dance too. Surely sabotaging them would have been a slow track where they couldn't show off their moves!

Again, Freddie's strength his piano which he was able to play.

Was it not Gifty's choice to sing the song she did? On Xtra factor she said she wanted to do something different and take a risk, I also believe Simon alluded to it in his comments.

Anyway, why are you all watching a show which you believe is so sabotaged I certainly wouldn't be if that's what I thought.

Matt, in my opinion, has a great voice. The highs he can reach for a lad is very impressive indeed. I doubt there's many lads in Britain who can reach the same notes as he can.

I don't think its that difficult to reach the notes he sang in falsetto I am sure there are hundreds of other guys in the uk who could do the same. Matt is a pretty good singer though, but I think he will struggle to hit real high notes with his normal voice though, as we saw when he struggled with the Bruno Mars song, so to be frankly honest, Matts range is VERY limited and those notes really are not that hard to hit!
