Really looking forward to this, roll on 17th Feb.
![]() ![]() At least we won't have the farcical situation that we did with part one where we had to wait 9 months after it's US release before we got it. It was available to buy legally on Amazon US before we even got it over here .. |

Yes too true, in the times of how technology has advanced, there really is no need for that kind of delay between releases in different countries.

There are many, many factors involved in film distribution, particularly regarding different markets. Those multi-territory same-weekend openings big mainstream releases are sometimes afforded are probably more the exception than the norm.
Though I still go to the cinema relatively frequently, I buy and watch far more movies at home. And with the ease of getting movies from other regions within a matter of days, this means that the concept of ‘waiting for months’ really means nothing any more, and nor should it. I had similar experience with Snowpiercer…it ran into distribution problems and took a while to be released in UK. But it was released in France and the US much sooner. Similarly with a lot of TV series, such as The Flash and Daredevil, the lag between US and UK releases can be months. I don't really do online stuff (though I have recently started using Netflix), I prefer to have the actual blu ray, with decent pic and sound quality and hopefully some decent extras. Ultimately, you can sit around and moan about it and be at the whim of studios and distribution companies, or you can do something about it. |

The trailer is worth watching just for gun shots audio in the tunnel scene. So good.
