I am a massive fan of Dancing on Ice was one of the most brilliant reality tv shows and I miss it loads. The choreography was amazing, the levels that the contestants got to was amazing, namely Ray Quinn, Hayley Tammeddon, Beth Tweedle etc. I honestly think it's a format that ITV should consider bringing back they have invested in long running shows that are predictable such as X Factor, strictly proves that this format is what the public want and I'm sorry but ITV that was on of your best shows to rival strictly not the voice or X factor

Another one who fell for the Hayley hype...... she was utter rubbish unless she was standing still doing frantic arm movements, dancing on her toepicks or being towed around the rink by Dan. Left on her own, to actually SKATE on her own she was wobbly, unsure and nervous - as she showed when forced to do a solo routine in the all stars.

What she COULD do better than anyone else was put her heart and soul into each performance and with Dan aiding and abetting her, her routines looked far better than they actually were!

Beth Tweddle and Ray Quinn out danced her every time, just a shame that style won out over substance in the Hayley/ Beth showdown!

That said - - I'd love to see DOI back again

Here's another one who would be happy to see DoI back again. Loved it!

After watching the two hours of dross last night that was the X-Factor, makes me miss DoI even more!

I loved DOI, but I if I remember rightly they axed the show because Torvill and Dean had quit and they were a big part of the show.

Was it completely down to T&D quitting? I understand they had other things they no doubt wanted to do but they were onto a good thing there, and to be honest although T&D are the most well known I am sure we would be able to find others to take their role, Karen Barber for one would be good to see

Well it was clearly good enough for you to sit through two hours of it.

At the end of the day, only Simon Cowell knows how to produce these talent/entertainment contests. DOI is not at all needed. (neither is the Voice)

I would stick pins in my eyes than watch X Factor for 2 hours, but did enjoy D on I, until Andre wasnt featured as much.

Apologies for the length of time getting back to you both - it was Mr.Daydream watching the two hours of dross, I was merely in the same room. I have learned my lesson and I now make him record it so he can watch it in his own time when I am out. And I disagree totally about Simon Cowell - he couldn't organise the proverbial piss up in a brewery.

I thought that T&D sucked the life out of the other pros so it was hard for them to establish themselves like the Strictly dancers have. I'd prefer another series to be without them.
However the Grand Prix and championship skating on Eurosport is far better to watch than DOI IMO.

The format is good, a thoroughly refreshed version could work.
