Kindle app on Samsung Galaxy: moving through books?
I have the Kindle app on my Galaxy S5, but can't seem to figure out how to navigate through books on it. Now I don't mean page by page, I know how to do that, but for instance I have the complete works of HG Wells on my phone and I'd like to be able to select the books I want to read without having to swipe through thousands of pages. So if anyone can tell me how this can be done, ie where the navigate menu is on the Galaxy S5 version of the app, I'd be most grateful.
Thanks TH |

In the iOS version you just tap in the centre of the page, and you get icons in the top left which allow you to view a table of contents.

That's pretty poor. So if I have a book which is a collection of stories, or a collection of books (CW of Shakespeare for instance) there's no standard way I can get to a TOC or listing? Man, that's annoying.

Okay I see now why this is. The option to get a TOC and chapters etc seems to be only available for version 4.2 and of course the only one available for my phone is 4.1 at the minute.
Does anyone know of another prog that will do a similar job but have the TOC feature? I've tried Kobo but it's useless, only recognises its own books. I would need something that would see and allow me to load and read the many books I have already purchased for my kindle. |

Are you sure about that? Seeing the TOC is such a basic feature it should be available on all versions. Did you try my suggestion above?

OK, thanks for the help. Someone on a Kindle forum has suggested I use the GoTo function to go to location 1, look for the TOC and start from there. It does work. It's just a pity that a) you can't GoTo pages/chapters instead of meaningless locations and b) version 4.2, which allows you to access the TOC directly by tapping the page wherever you are, has not been released for Android, even though it's apparently been around for nearly two years now.
