It rings true to me as well.

It's worth noting that everything she says is prefaced with 'she told a friend' and that along with the photos being lifted from her social media as you said shows that it isn't even an interview, just a story The Sun has gathered.

As for her parents not getting involved she clearly says that they despised him so she tried to keep it a secret. I think also mentioning police involvement gives it a further ring of veracity.

I can see why X Factor need to look into this particularly with her saying she lied to the X Factor about the extent of the abuse under duress from him and the texts he sent look really bad. Still I'm happy to leave it to the X Factor to investigate and decide on.

If u read the Ok article she doesn't say it's not true just that she is shocked a friend has spilt the beans!

More likely cowell chucked her a nice sum for her to change her tune

I think these were the words she used when the story first came out and she denied it! Wouldn't be the first time the press had created a spin off story by taking old quotes and applying them in the wrong context.

It's all a set up to ruin their credability.

What credibility If it's a set up it is to create controversy for the show and a sob story for these boys if it is all indeed a lie.

To the posters who say why is she bringing it back up:

Wouldn't YOU be annoyed and hurt if someone who beat you up for years was then on TV trying to get rich and famous off the back of having a squeaky-clean good-boy persona?

If anything these allegations if found to be true can act as a warning to the next girl!

I do not believe that XF have suspended these two without having at least some indication that this is likely the truth!

Otherwise we could all just call in and sabotage any act!!

Nor do i believe this was a set up XF brushed over it too awkwardly last night for this to be contrived!

Anyone that scarred by someone would not want to prolong the connection with that person no matter what. We'll know for certain anyway in the next few weeks when we count how many interviews she does.

Rubbish, Simon and the producers thrive on stuff like this. It's publicity for the show. As for it being brushed over last night, they did that to get people talking and will now no doubt leave viewers wondering for a whole week whether they'll be back on the show, instead of just telling us now.

In this instance though she has denied it and it is a friend that is speaking out so maybe that gives it more credibility.

I haven't seen her Instagram but her Facebook status denies having sold her story to the press. She doesn't however deny the validity of the story. Some of the comments from fellow classmates do say that the twins are known bullies and even got suspended from school.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying when you've been that punished by someone you don't want to have to deal with them again, or be in anyway connected to them. I'm not saying that's how victims should act, that's how they DO act.

How can they be rated if they don't perform ?

The show managed to run to time it would seem which has made me suspicious because if it was a last minute thing they'd be having to make up about 6 - 7 mins worth for the VT, performance and comments.
