I am having problems with my new Sony TV model KDL32RD433BU. When it's turned off by the remote it cannot be turned back on. Instead you have to switch it off & back on at the plug then the remote works. Does anyone have any advice?

On the basis you've checked the batteries in the remote control and also that nothing is obscuring the sensor on the front of the TV - I'm going to ask, have you got a blu-ray player or similar attached using HDMI and could this be the problem?

I've got a slightly older Sony - 32V4000 which has a Sony BR player connected via HDMI and it's always been *very* particular about the order in which things are powered down. If you turned the TV off whilst the BR player was still powered it would give the same problem you describe - no response from the TV remote - only way to get it to turn back on again involves unplugging at the wall.

No nothing attached. I've just done some reaserch on the Web and this problem is common on this model so I have organised from the store money back. Thanks for the reply.
