This is what you get for putting through joke acts over talented singers. Serves them right.

I thought it was the worst opening show in X factor history

I agree that last night was one of, if not the, weakest opening shows of XF ever.

For the first time ever I watched Strictly and recorded XF, then was completely underwhelmed when I did watch it. Dull acts, predictable judging panel and no excitement whatsoever.

SCD had 50% more viewers, and its only going to get worse.

Totally agree , you always get some crap in the first live show but normally get 3 or 4 who really stand out . Last night was some ok performances but not one single act really stood out . Really poor standard this year

It was a very weak opening show.

The only acts who stood out and were memorable Matt, Relley and Honey G. At a push, Gifty and Saara.

After 13 years you would have thought that putting in the very best of each category with one comedy act (which has to be provided by Louis Walsh) is the best outcome for the show and the viewers.

Series 5, Series 2 and Series 7 are perfect examples of this (the best years).
