A lot of these women were middle aged as well. Not teens as you'd expect. Pathetic behaviour from grown adults.

I don't know anyone on the thread who now dislikes Gio because he isn't with Georgia anymore!

Oh yes. Age means nothing where maturity is concerned.
That's often the case... many women attack other women. |

I agree, but I think social media has given young celebrities a distorted view of what privacy is. I read an interview with Georgia the other day where she said she is 'quite a private person'

And I've been meaning to ask you, Sarah, I must admit to always being a bit confused as to why a world champion wasn't 'good enough' - is there anything in particular between now and then that might have made you change your mind about him?? Hmmmm
. I have deleted some text, we shouldn't discuss another thread. Is Giovanni a World champion??. I am a true Laura fan and I want her to win Strictly, so I will be happy if Laura and Gio win. I am assuming all the GG fans are supporting Gio to win Strictly, irrelevant of whom he is dancing with, right??.

Instead I should've referred to his as an Italian Champion - which still makes his 'good enough' to be a professional dancer in Strictly for me, but perhaps not for you. Naturally I can't speak for all GG fans, but I'm personally not supporting Giovanni and Laura to win Strictly this year. I feel it's perhaps an opportune moment to point out that there is a difference, at least in my perception, between posting in an appreciation thread devoted to a partnership from last year and not necessarily supporting the pro to win the next year, and posting in an appreciation thread partially dedicated to a pro whom you have declared around a month or so previously that they are 'not good enough' to be in Strictly. I thought it was in quite poor taste actually, Lou. I appreciate that judges said that Laura lacked fluidity, and I noticed that her movement seemed a bit wooden at times - but describing her as a broom seemed rather harsh to me, wouldn't you agree? |

![]() On the subject of fan harassment, Georgia herself has not been immune to it - she had a single solitary tweet 'liked' by Niall Horan (One Direction) several weeks back and within about 10 minutes she had at least 40 tweets from his fans inquiring as to what precisely was 'going on' between them! |

Probably not time for me to roll out my "Harry Judd tweeted me" story (for the millionth time) but yes, I think we can agree that Boy Band fans are a special kind of intense.

The 1D fans are a whole seperate subsection, though. There's invested, there's super-invested, there's scary-invested and then there's 1D.
Yes that's quite correct from what I gather!

BIB- I never said such thing. If I am not mistaken, I said Gio is not good enough for Laura and I want Laura with someone else. There are so many other factors added to it. I have seen some Georgia fans, grown adults behave like jealous teenagers against Laura on twitter. I really feel like her experience is being ruined by it.

You can excuse the teenage 1D fans, like OP said some of these GG fans are middle aged, no excuse there. my point was really that you can't use 1D fans as proof of anything. They occupy a whole area all of their very own!

But I can't for the life of me understand why the only people saying they want Gio out of the comp early ... or don't want him to basically smile or look happy are the people on his app thread!! That's a bizarre 180. |
