Naga and Pasha's dance, poor lighting.

I am not a great fan of Naga and see her as one of the weakest dancers, but the lighting for her dance last night was terrible.
Both dancers were dressed in black, against a dark background, with lots of blue spotlights moving around.
They were not exactly strobes, but I found it difficult to watch and could not see the detail of the dance.
I would mention that there is nothing wrong with my eyes.

I am surprised that nobody commented on this.

I was actually able to see the dance in full detail, unfortunately Naga did not dance it well or as it should be.

She didn't look amazing in training either, I agree, however suspending her face down at the beginning of the dance, in a harness she got stuck in can't have helped with her nerves and the dancing. I know I'd have massively struggled after a set back like that. Her outfit really exposed a lot of flaws that would have been covered by a proper dress too.

I think though that for a complete and total beginner she is an acceptable standard. It's all just such a rush on strictly that absolute non dancers will always struggle to dance each dance with correct technique.
What name??

I think it may have been strategic. She really is a very poor dancer although she looks good.

I don't like her, she can't dance, but worse than that she has no personality, and why do they keep saying she's nervous. She's used to being on TV presenting programmes. Claudia and Greg haven't been on TV or stage before yet they manage to be able to dance and show personalities to us.

I think the start of the dance would have put anyone off who wasn't super confident, can't really see what the flying added.

She looked stunning last night, she also looked stunned as well. I'm not a Naga basher but feel that she as one of the judges said (Len?) that she lacks confidence in herself. She doesn't realise how good she could be with just a little more practice. She has a lovely partner who maybe should be doing more to help her cope with her nerves. I'm just hoping she stays long enough to show them what she can do. Fingers crossed for her tonight.
Come on Naga show them you can do, hope you survive tonight and many more nights

I think the lighting is frequently unhelpful, especially when it's strobing or whatever. I also thought there were times during Danny's paso that they weren't easily seen. When the cameras have to move constantly and there is a busy background, the producers should really think more carefully about the lighting, and the costumes shouldn't both be dark.

I'm boring of Naga. I can only see that worried neurotic look so many times without wanting to put the boot in the telly. Cheer up or go!

She could have done with the lights being turned off fully so we couldn't see her.

Who is the" We" you refer to. If you are going to make nasty comments please speak on behalf of yourself and not on behalf of everyone.

Stoopid harnesses didn't help.

Does she look bored or is she genuinely full of nerves?

I like her. Her dancing is not that good though and with strict competition this year, she could be booted out tonight. I hope she stays though.

Dim lighting like over-long dresses can hide a multitude of mistakes.
Now I'm not saying this was deliberate ploy by the BBC to keep in "one of their own,"

Whoops!

I just did!

The lighting was dim but it was still light enough to see her dancing clearly

Also that music was so fast and very difficult for a complete novice , no wonder Naga gets lost . Those producers make no allowances for a lot of beginners who need music with a simple, clear beat .

That catsuit, even in dim light, clearly exposed her mistakes I thought. That said, I don't think they ever got back on timing after struggling with the wires.

I do agree but Pasha could have helped bu using a series of slows amongst all the quicks, to slow the pace rather than looking hectic and one paced.

I have breakfast with Naga (watching the news on TV) every weekday morning and I have always found her sparkling and full of fun.As I don't watch soaps, she was one of the ones I knew and I so wanted her to win. What the heck has happened to-her? She comes over as having all the personality of a dish cloth, beautiful figure, but that's all.I don't think she likes Pasha, and the poor lad's doing his best

Err...

I think you'll find "her personality" on the news programme is printed on the auto-cue. She's not on her own in this respect.
Many come across as "rabbits caught in the headlights," their concentration on the screen just a few feet away from them is that intense.

As usual a childish response to an opinion with which you disagree.

Nothing changes chum, does it?

If you're going to quote my posts have the courtesy of quoting them in full as it explained the reasons for my perception.

Got any more insults?

Me too (bib)! I agree she does seem a fun person and i've always imagined her to be the mischievous type at work. As she's slim and obviously very fit i had high hopes for her but been disappointed. There are those that seem to take to dancing easily and naturally whilst others struggle.

I was amazed to find she's 41. I thought she was only in her late 20s early 30s!
