It's me, I did the post "who will be in the final". I was in such a rush this morning, and I was so overcome by the FABULOUSNESSS of the movie week show that I just had to post something. I didn't realise I had broken a rule. Brain wasn't in gear I am afraid, I apologise to anyone I have upset, Sorry Sorry Sorry !!!!! Really sorry !

I did something similar and felt really embarrassed for a few hours. Luckily everyone was really great about it.

You made a mistake and did not commit a series crime like some people seem to think you did, it is as simple as that.

It was obviously not deliberate megashopper. It is just a shame that the mods never seem to be around on Sunday when 'spoilerfication' is most likely.

(I helped propagate a spoiler when we were awaiting the pairings at the start of the series and so I know how you feel.)

Thanks for this Meg! - it is an easy mistake to make!

The irony is that someone has posted a spoiler on the thread that was set up to warn people of the spoiler in your thread!!!!

You couldn't make it up!!!

Don't worry Meg - I did a similar thing last year - I thought I was posting in the spoiler thread - turned out I wasn't but realised less than a minute later & deleted it

Come & join us in the spoiler thread next week & discuss the spoiler to you hearts content!!

Ah Bless you. Don't worry it's easily done. So sweet of you to post an apology though.

Dont worry about it Meg, it was an honest mistake, its pretty stupid that they film the results show the same night anyway, loads of people know who goes out before Sunday night

It's really nice of you to apologise, it was an honest mistake, no need to feel super bad

I posted on the spoiler thread last night and suddenly had a fit of the horrors that I'd posted about the result on another thread instead. Luckily I hadn't.

Yes it's a pity mods can't be around Sunday morning but if it's that important not to know the spoiler I guess people have to avoid all social media until after the results show. Apparently it's clearly visible on Twitter some weeks.

Lovely of you to apologise, but have you edited the spoiler out of your original post?

You can only do edits for half an hour.

You only get a short time in which you are able to edit any post that you make.

Typical. So it is still there! Many of us have reported it to no avail. This stuff makes me so angry.

I don't think anybody is upset, we all know it's an easy mistake to make. No worries.

Huh? I just tried to warn others because I benefitted from a similar action last year, when I managed to avoid the spoiler thanks to the efforts of the many awesome posters on here. Didn't mean to imply that a serious crime had been committed..

..”

Well, I for one AM upset. How many times does it need repeating not to say anything on threads other than the official spoilet thread? The more people who do this on DS, the more likely we are to have the Spoiler thread banned by DS.

Genuine mistakes happen, nobody really minds too much and we appreciate the apology.

The worst bit is (not the OP BTW) someone compounding the problem by bumping the thread & then spreading the news around, because someone may have tweeted a hint. This does not mean cart blanche to post willy nilly, as for those who do not want to know it spoils things.

Easy thing to remember, is keep any mention of a result to the weekly Spoiler thread.

I do mind! I mind a lot.

I was referring to the genuine innocent mistakes, rather than the deliberate repeating the information and bumping that has happened to a couple of threads this week

I mind about it all. How many times do we say to only use the Spoiler thread? How many times is that ignored?

Most of us are very, very careful. We don't prejudice the Spoiler thread at all in case the mods decide to take the thread down permanently. But when someone does, they get the warm and fuzzies. So why should the rest of us bother?

I give up!

I still don't know why people get so worked up over the spoiler? It's impossible to avoid it IMO, today ive already read it on the official Facebook page and Twitter. If it bothers posters so much why don't they just stay off the internet for 24 hours?

Don't mention
Spoiler
the war
.

I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it.
