Alfie is a classical/operatic singer and Michael is a musical theatre singer - two completely different styles of singing. Personally, I preferred Michael's voice - it fitted the song better and just find it richer and warmer. Alfie is great when he's singing classical/operatic stuff, but he was a bit overpowering in this.
