Has anyone read this. Wonder what people thought?

I haven't read it myself, but it's got mostly favourable reviews on Amazon:

I liked Steve but I didn't like the book, it was very repetitive and just constant whining throughout. Yeah I know he feels justified but he's not the first person to be treated badly by the music business and he won't be the last.

Loved it, and believed every word!

He needs serious help. His Twitter is one of the bitterest things I've ever seen. He is obsessed with Cowell and the show.

When Steve won he was 40ish.He was about a decade too late for sustained charting success. That's not a slam. It' reality. If you are over 35(as am I, which I am adding to clarify, not being ageist) you would be damn lucky , no matter how good you are, to even manage one chart topping song, cover or not. Steve did.

The guy can sing and he deserved better treatment than he got.He did touch on some very legit complaints against the show, and did so in an intelligent way. It's just difficult to sympathize when he projects the bitter, overly entitled , somewhat unrealistic attitude he often does .

I imagine the 1 star and 2 star reviews are from Simon and Sharon

Steve won when the competition was about singing.

I thought it was great. Also touches on the Max Clifford thing, and the media treating Cowell very "sympathetically" over his involvement with him.

The biggest gripe he has with the X factor is not really with how he was treated by Sharon and Louis (shockingly, in my opinion), but what happened afterwards, with Syco briefing against him etc.

It's a funny one. Sharon's vent against his personality actually did him a favour in terms of votes. I purchased the book. It is a great read. I believe him. I believe the media conspired against him. I didn't vote for him that year as I was a Tabby fan. I still think to this day that he has a great voice. However, he is a really unpleasant, antagonistic, bitter man.

I read it, it was a great book. I got it for Christmas last year.

My favourite part was where Sharon called him a ****.

I like the book and I don't blame Steve for being angry. I'm glad I voted for him.
