Imagine the uproar if she said I can't do the DO due to my injury

Saying that I found it very difficult to choose between the two . Although I want Laura to stay for awhile, as I think she has more potential, on the night I thought Tameka was better .

I do wish she had said it. I would have laughed and laughed. But then she has her Eastenders contract to think of.

I am shocked at the comments on here. This is a fun show with a lot of silliness. It isn't serious. This is celebrities dancing. Come on, people lighten up. I enjoy a good quality dance and I think Tameka was pretty good. But mainlyTameka brought that fun and silliness and a lot of people obviously don't want to vote for that. But to be so mean and nasty just is typical of these forums. She was having fun at the end. She never used that injury to make people vote for her. I enjoyed the fun. Sorry that other people didn't.

Marching around proudly displaying her knee support was not funny - nor was it intended to be. It put a sour note to the end of the show - and her time on it. Shame that she will be remembered more for that stunt than her 'fun and silliness' because it is now splashed all over the papers!
We have had plenty of celebrities who have been funny and silly and good sports, non (that I recall) lasted longer than Blackpool and all (again as far as I remember) left with dignity and a smile on their faces even though they were sad. We remember them for being good fun! Mark Benson danced throughout with both his knees strapped.

I'm glad she has gone since Tameka was the only one I just couldn't warm to.
After ITT tonight she and her attention seeking antics, forced laughter and artificial tears will be banished from my Strictly Experience.
Thank goodness for that.

Very pushy especially in the Clauditorium, her behaviour in there on Saturday trying to spoil other contestants moments of glory was appalling !!

I agree. She - and her fans - may say that she was only trying to show Ore support and I guess that would be one way of looking at her actions. But to me she came across as making fun of him, I thought Jo looked embarrassed, and Ore slightly humiliated.

So you don't like her, you don't think she's funny so that means she's not funny.

How boring....

I'm not shocked. She is female, large and confident. You're not allowed to be all three of those things.

I really thought she seemed off balance after all that spinning. It's not as if any of the dances she's prepared for the show would have given her experience of that amount of whirling. I'd probably have puked on the spot

The leg brace thing was bold and funny.

I'm not an Eastenders viewer but I really liked Tameka on SCD. I found her genuinely funny and warm. The cry-in was glorious and I agree with others that it was a kindness to Ore. The guy had resorted to biting his thumb to get his feelings under control. Tameka's OTT bawling was generous -- that's how it played to me anyway.

I'm going to miss her in the same way I missed Judy or Jeremy in the years they were in it. All three were good for the group...

I thought she was clearly disorientated by the spinning. Look at it again. Gorka is literally holding her up.

I liked Tameka and I was sorry to see her in the dance off and then to be the one voted out. I don't think she was hogging the limelight in the Clauditorium; it was Claud herself who drew attention to her tears and pulled her forward, at which point Tameka initially protested and said "it's not about me". I loved her words at the end about Gorka being an asset to the show and I thought that made a lovely leaving speech, I was mentally applauding her.

I think she was then genuinely off balance / feeling dizzy in the spin; she put her hand up to her face and pushed at Gorka to put her down, then her legs buckled a bit as she first touched the floor. I thought that was fair enough, being spun round does make people dizzy.

Where she lost me was the knee brace bit. Instead of making the most of her last few seconds of dancing with Gorka (who I think had gone towards her at that point to resume their 'last dance') she brushed him aside in order to march round with her knee brace on display and a 'stuff you lot, voting out an injured woman' expression on her face. Even if it wasn't her intention, under the circumstances it felt like a sly dig at both Anastacia and Laura, and calculated to try to invoke some guilty feelings in those watching. I'm happy to admit I'm old fashioned but I prefer a gracious loser and that didn't feel gracious. It's not as if she wouldn't get her chance to mention her injury and show off her knee brace if she felt so inclined on ITT tonight, then she would have got nothing but sympathy rather than having left some people with a sour taste in the mouth.

I totally agree, that was uncalled for and unnecessary . I read she was furious that her injuries did not stop her doing the dance off.
Today I read (in a trashy mag) that she thought the glitter ball would be hers!

I also thought she lost her balance because of the spinning.

I have no strong feelings about her and I don't watch Eastenders but I think it's a shame that people are attributing all sorts of negative meaning to her actions. I prefer to give her the benefit of the doubt and believe she did it because she was trying to explain away her stumble.

I don't watch ITT so not even sure what form it takes.

I would hope that having had a couple of days to think things over, she might have considered what a cloddish, graceless dollop she was when she pulled that stunt with the knee brace.

I totally get that she was disappointed - as is anyone who is eliminated from the show - but I think making such a display of herself as she did has only succeeded in making herself look like a bad loser and a bit of an @rse.

If it WAS a dig at Anastacia, as it certainly appeared to be, then she really needs to take a long hard look at herself. There is a world of difference between not wishing to exacerbate damage to the site of previous major surgery... and a knee injury which was stabilised by the use of a brace, enabling her to dance on it.

She has not come out of this looking good at all and it will be interesting to see if she takes the opportunity to apologise for that error of taste and judgment.
