I am not hostile...I disagree with you...that's the forum, that you do not understand.

You post a thread, people gave opinions some disagree with you! When they post back you go defensive and say thry are hostile.

Yes I posted " your opinion" that is not hostile, it's the truth.

To me you coming back within seconds of every post of mine, may be taken as hostile, however you are entitled to that on an open forum.

And then I never started using names like immature in my posts.....

You start a thread, you get responses, well some do not and sink, that maybe worse, but you have your view, but you cannot accept others who disagree?

I was surprised to see both of them in the dance off, but to be honest I would have saved Tameka and sent Laura home. I much preferred Tameka's performance in her Tango, I found Laura all legs and the lift was sloppy. Who has the most long term potential? Definitely Laura.

I wouldn't classify Laura as a big name signing, how well known is she in the UK really?

I take it you understand the concept of irony? Please don't lecture me on not being able to take alternate views when you have to remind me it's my opinion. Yes you're right, it's my opinion but you might come over less argumentative if you said, I disagree because of.....I'm long enough in the tooth not to need you try and tell me which way is up on forums; it's implied that forums exist for ppl to have views/opinions.

that reminds me, what is Terry doing now? I wouldn't mind a thread or two every weekend, his problem was that he would bump every single thread he ever made at the same time

I will end on this thread by saying.

Check back this thread between us two, who did the name calling and who didn't.

One of us didn't call names...

Some people on this board were saying that Tameka was an attention seeker, too loud, and other not very pleasant things about her. Give me a loud and real one any day over the insincere ones who present a behaviour that is a mix of false modesty, giggling, nerve affliction, and crying. The first few snippets I saw of Laura on SCD I had such a feeling of deja vu, like I was seeing Snowdon/DVO/Clancy all rolled into one. Now I know I wasn't too far off the mark. The only difference is that she is a far worse dancer than those 3.

When her name was announced she didn't look shocked or sad but angry, the kind of "I'm trying to convert my pursed lips into a smile but I'm not quite managing" angry. Then, the waterworks started after the DO when the judges commenced the voting. I can't stand those types who start giggling and do the whole "Who, me?" when they receive a compliment, who try the disguise their anger when the judges give anything less than an eight, who start the flooding to try to appeal to the emotional side.

I wish that the judges had some balls for once and saved the stocky black woman over the pretty young thing because I'm not really buying that Laura danced better. All I could see was a big emu being dragged around the dance floor. And that was twice, in her CCC and in whatever she did last night.

I preferred Laura's dance off performance - she had more content and danced like she really wanted to stay.... IMO Tameka just gave up.

Shame we don't get more Gorka though.

She hosted the companion show to I'm A Celeb, which I think gets a lot of viewers. Caroline Flack also hosted that show and first became known for that before her X factor gig, so Laura will have been known by some population og the I'm A celeb fan base. If a presenter like Caroline (who might not have been deemed a real celeb before doing strictly) could end up bottom two and still later win, then I suppose Laura may have hope she can survive a bit more.

In general I don't think there usually are big name celebs, bar one it two. Alesha, Abbey and Caroline were known by some but not exactly big celebs, yet still all ended up winning. If audience like you, your dancing and pref both, anyone has a chance.

On that dance off I'd have saved Laura.

Unfortunately your post does rather, ahem, suggest prejudice or a chip on one's shoulder...

Maybe the simple truth is just that judges are human beings too, and they detected more potential for Laura. It's not like 3 of the judges would have been influenced by her legs, like wot I would...

Not true . She worked hard on that routine . Her training vids showed it much better than the final routine where the choreographer (NOT Tameka) chose to put 10 seconds of humour at the start and finish , much like dozy Daisy with her bottomless bag and Lesley and Anton with their tramp interaction .
Dressing her in bin bags didn't exactly enhance the over all look of the routine . Her outfit was by far the worst of the series . Get a grip wardrobe and make it a level playing field . The pretty young dance-trained things can carry off dull and drab , but inflicting it on those who are genuinely just learning is nobbling them even more .

Well, if not liking insincerity and fakeness is to have a chip on the shoulder and being prejudiced, then I am pleased to say I'm guilty of all that

Its not the United Nations.
Its the DS Strictly Forum and I can clearly see from whence the hostility comes.

You missed out the word white from your 'pretty young thing' description

Celebs are human beings with emotions. They are not some alien species. They get sad and angry like any other person. I don't know why people are so cynical when someone shows emotion. Happy = fake. Angry = fake. Sad = fake.

I'm not sure how you could watch Laura's waltz from last week and surmise that she can't dance. Her Latin definitely needs more work, but I thought she did just enough to squeak past Tameka this week. She's not one of the trained dancers either, but there's definitely potential. I did like Tameka though, wish she could've had a few more weeks.

Before they danced I assumed that Laura would be saved but she seemed extremely nervous, uncertain, and unsteady. I certainly don't think she improved much. I'd have saved Tameka.

I'm ok. Thanks for asking. How're you?

I hope we don't clash this year!

What's wrong with starting a thread and expressing your opinion? That was an aggressive poster who kept having a go but you dealt with him/her very well.
