Now THAT was a Charleston!
midflight

It's been a long, long time since anyone or anything has made me smile as much as watching Claudia (&AJ) dance last night

I was feeling pretty exhausted after the previous 12 dances (of which Greg & Natalie were by far the best), but when that fantastic Bugsy tune started up... Wow, my weary eyes suddenly started to wiggle a little, my foot was tapping, my shoulders were jigging, my legs went completely crazy, and I almost went bald!
By the end I was up on my feet cheering them on like Red Rum in the Grand National! The custard pie finish blew several slates clean off my roof, and I've since received a Police caution for my (admittedly rather rash) decision to take to the streets in celebration, wearing only a pair of flip-flops and a sparkly thong (on my head), but I simply don't care & can't be made to!

That Charleston gave me a very warm glow. LOVED IT

I didn't think any Charleston would ever be as good as Sophie and Brendon's but I absolutely loved this one. Best one in the history of the show!

I thought it was great, best dance of the night.

I loved, loved, loved it.

I hated the pie in the face though.

I hope you manage to rouse yourself from that abyss of turgid indifference for next week.

Me too, when I watched it back I fast forwarded over that bit, didn't like it at all. When AJ tweeted earlier on Saturday that there was a surprise at the end I assumed Claudia would do an amazing somersault, I wasn't expecting slapstick

I absolutely loved it.

Tailor made for those two.

And as Chloe has said AJ is extremely vain, good show of him to take a pie to the mush - makes me warm to him more.

I loved it too. I haven't watched a dance back so many times since Jay's jive last year.

I didn't mind the custard pies either, as it's very much referencing the film. My only niggle was that they couldn't find AJ a big enough hat for the start. Does he have an extraordinarily large head?

Claudia AJ's Charleston was magnificent - It was the dance of the night and I'm surprised Bruno didn't get his "10" paddle out. Maybe he took a point off for getting splattered in the custard pie ending!

Especially loved the part when the music sped up - brilliant!

I loved the way he just stared at the camera after pie'ing Claudia in their training video. Seems like a good sport!

He could have borrowed Ore's...

Yes, best one ever on SCD, a proper Charleston.

Loved it! Just watched it again on jiroos's poll thread.

Can I say this without seeming like I'm being critical because I'm really REALLY not meaning it that way? You can already see the old lady face that Claudia will have -- it's just *that* kind of face, full of character. She'll look young when she's old

The actual dancing if I recall correct is only 1 min 5 sec from the time on the small stage till completion Loved the routine want more

That's my second best, winner is DVO's Charleston.

I don't think I have EVER found a pie in the face funny.
