No one seems to speak about them at all on here .

I assume people just think they aren't very good .

I suppose they must be looking for another jls but that was a few years ago now.

X Factor is always trying to recreate the past with acts but if Walsh is down to this act I assume he is in trouble

You could at least get their name right.

It doesn't speak well to the "coaching" they apparently receive that many of them sounded better in their initial audition.Or were the auditions cleaned up a little before showing them on tv?

I really like um, at least they have Star potential

it's their luck though, because they're not a threat to matt so they're allowed to perform. While the other group who may have split the girl vote has been axed

I love them, easily my favourite act.

Can't see them going far, nothing about them original

Good dancing , piss poor vocals

Vocals were crap. Would people seriously pay to see what they did on Saturday night in a concert? In fact, would anyone of sane mind pay to see any of this lot live?

It's so obvious how much their voices have been corrected in the previous auditions stage. I love when the acts get to lives and you figure out they can't actually sing

Yeah, it's funny how all of a sudden people were quite good at judges houses, and this week they're mostly all terrible.

I like them, they have potential to actually make it outside of the show but that was a terrible song choice. They should be doing more R&B like they had been doing during the earlier process, like Drake in their audition or R Kelly at judges homes.

And the one who was the strongest vocally found herself in the sing off

5 After Midnight will never win vocal supremacy in any series of The X Factor (yes even this one) but the song choice on Saturday was totally wrong for them in their defence, and worse still is they was put on first with such a sabotage song choice.

Imo they should be singing The Weeknd, uptempo Michael Jackson tracks, and maybe a bit of Prince.

Well that's just the terrible voting demographic of the UK.

And because it was quite clear that Sharon was forced to put her through to the live shows.

For the first time ever, I agree with the OP - they're so cheesy, so dated. Like something from a kids tv show.
They have a decent look but they're like a really cheap JLS tribute band, minus the talent, charisma and style

5am feel like a manufactured boyband, except they did the manufacturing themselves. I don't get the feeling that they'd performing together without the lure of the XF.

They need to realise this isn't a dancing competition.

I like them. Maybe they would be more successful on BGT.

not when they're the exact opposite of cheesy and dated lol, they're one of the few current groups we've had on the show, if Simon plays his cards right he's onto something big, quite honestly

Yes because being a boyband of colour instantly means that they're the new JLS. 5am seem far more current than JLS ever did and they're nothing like JLS in terms of musical direction, style, looks...

True, but with the likes of the Tinfoil Twits and Honey Gee-she's-awful, it isn't much of a singing competition either.

They are pretty impressive they are just not being "pimped" as much although they should be I think they are quality.

I think they sounded flat as a pancake on Sat. Mind you, CSTF is quite a difficult song.

Since series 6 there's been an act deliberately sent to the lives to do the over the top dance routines to cover up shoddy vocals and performing skills.
