I think 'Carnival (The Last Day)' by Gain could be my favourite song of the year.

So I was compiling my weekly New Releases' Playlist recently (www.spoti.fi/OQ15nN since you asked). Now, I pick up tracks from various sources and one of the songs I came across was Carnival (The Last Day) by KPop artist Gain.

Wow! What a fabulously infectious little number this is! I have to say I'd never heard of her before, but reading up it appears she's been on the scene for a decade or so. I know there are a number of KPop fans on here - or used to be, at least - so doubtless they're aware.

Anyway, here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXHJQ7CYqQM

Not to everyone's taste, I'm sure, but I'll be looking forward to hearing more of her work when I have the time, if it's of this quality.

This is utterly brilliant. I guess "big band kpop" could be the best way to describe it but it's fantastic!

Just me and you, then. Damn the young people and their housey-housey music, and the, "Music was much better in my day," oldsters!

The second section of that song - sounds like the Back To The Future Theme! The notes at 1 min 7 mark are identical to the main chorus of Back To The Future.

"Da da daaaaa".. - bit.
