Sara Aalto on surviving the sing off
Talks about surviving over Bratavvio, the Voice Finland and her girlfriend who she met when on the Voice Finland https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnx--C1rVrs
Comes across very sweet, but unfortunately don't see her making it that far

Saara is an interesting one....she has a unique and colorful voice, but it is a voice without any edge or modern vibe or soul , just a very pure instrument she usually uses well.
I think she will be successful, but doubt it will be in pop or charting genres. I also doubt she cares what musical direction it will be in, as long as it happens. Putting her in a position to sing against Bratavio was cringe worthy, because she has real talent. |

She has an incredible voice but there is something about her that's just not likeable. She reminds me of Kitty Brucknell, just a little too sure of herself maybe? Or the way she kicked off at 6 Chair Challenge?
I think the fact they've made such a big thing about her being from Finland has made her seem unrelatable too. Which is a shame. |

Saara is undeniably a good singer, but she lacks the ability to pull people into her performances, IMO.
I know of 2 other music show covers of Alive, her sing-off song. One just a few days ago on XF AU and one on last year's Voice UK. Neither one was as technically well-sung as Saara. But both captured the rawness of the song. Now, she shouldn't have been in the B2 this week. But ultimately she does lack something |

She has a pleasant voice, but just too Eurovision to catch on with the voting public.

Yes agree with most of the comments above, didn't deserve to be in the bottom 3, but she lacks the ability to connect with the viewing public and draw people in emotionally. Technically one of the best vocally but that only gets you so far.

She can certainly sing but I have a feeling she may be off this weekend .
Sure she will get musical theatre work out of this |

I think she comes across really well and has a great voice, IMO one of the best this year, I was really disappointed she was bottom 2, hopefully her sing off performance will have gained her a few more fans and might keep her safe this weekend.

She's a very sweet person. I actually liked this interview with Lorraine a lot, because it shows the real Saara.
Saara is working so hard for her international career and I truly hope she makes at least a few more weeks. |

I think the fact they've made such a big thing about her being from Finland has made her seem unrelatable too. Which is a shame. Saara is a performer with some originality and real skill, and her voice is good with some outstanding qualities. Kitty was just an imitation Britney/GaGa with the misfortune to have been born with a voice that, with hard work and good production, she managed to forge into something truly mediocre and forgettable .Kitty was a deluded full of herself act they tried to make seem eccentric, where Saara is a talented eccentric they are trying to make seem a little full of herself. Saara possesses genuine talent and potential.I really do think she will find success, and am interested to see where/how. |

I have to agree with most of what has already been said plus her voice doesn't really lend itself to anything current!
The show clearly doesn't have plans for her other than as early cannon fodder I think she may be next to go! |

I hope she isn't but I can see her being in the sing off against Freddie this weekend.

I think she is great myself. The fact that she ended up in the bottom 2 in Week 1 against some shockingly bad performers has rather killed my interest in this series.

She is the most naturally gifted singer there, and probably the best technically too. The fact she was in the bottom two is an absolute disgrace.

I agree that the constant mentioning of her being from Finland is alienating her from the viewers and putting her on an isolated platform.
Her styling has also been suspect with all the glitter and sparkle....basically a cliche of what a eurovision artist looks like. They need to put her in something more modern and edgy. |

I can't help but like Sara, as I have watched her Eurovision career from afar and have admired her determination
I love her voice and thought her Eurovision style might really suit this type of "entertainment" show but it seems without any fan base or help from producers she is sadly just fodder to help along the chosen ones But it's all good publicity her so not all bad |

I don't quite know what it is with Saara, she has a great voice, one of the best in the competition in my opinion.
However maybe her personality/body language are not something in which the public are comfortable with? Its crazy to state that as a reason but what else could it be? Ex euro vision song contestant? maybe that's what the problem is? |

Sadly, they're the ones who are not voting for Saara |

She's not technically ex-Eurovision but came second in the Finnish national selection with this

I don't think the reason she's not getting votes has anything to do with eurovision or the fact that she's released songs already because I didn't even know about that until now. I'd say it's her personality for the most part. My family find her awkward to watch when she's not singing. It's difficult to pinpoint exactly what it is about her that makes her
unlikable but I think "annoying" comes closest. |
