Lovely scenes Friday, and a great episode overall, but where were/are Ian and Phil?

I haven't been watching regularly lately, but have caught most episodes and were impressed with a lot g SOC's stuff last week, I just found it strange how Ian and Phil were absent from the episode, especially Ian as he's always been very protective of Ben.

This is Eastenders biggest problem in my opinion, too often the characters go missing. You look at Emmerdale and the whole cast feature regularly, even if it's just for some background stuff, you don't see this with Eastenders. It's been going on for as long as i can remember, but it's always annoyed me when they can't blend their character into certain scenes.

Ah I see. I wonder why Ian wasn't present at the court trial.

Yes I hope SOC changes that, characters going missing for weeks is so annoying and unrealistic. Even if a certain character doesn't have a storyline we should still see them around the square.

I think you've missed six years of your life obsessing over Diedrick Santers era, why don't you stick to watching emmerdale which just rips off eastenders classic plots anyway.

Too early. These episodes would of been filmed around late august/early september time. Panto season begins November for rehearsals and then december through to january for the actual live performances.

Phil being off screen is a good thing imo. I get tired of him being shoved down our throats.

Too busy frolicking with Jane and getting his arse pinched I daresay.
