I was a bit disappointed in her performance this week she was good but there was something missing maybe it was the change of song

The only thing missing was the the correct tune.

There are also too many stories about her ongoing romance in the tabloids too which may be distracting her.

Singing wise I think it was a mistake putting her in the lives

I like Emily but sadly i have to say i thought her performance on Saturday was dire!

Initially i thought she was a contender but in all honesty i'm not so sure anymore her vocal ability appears to be very limited

Simon ain't got a clue what to do with her because he is a one trick pony when it comes to young female artists. Emily would have been 1000x better with Sharon as her mentor, or even Nicole.

I think, up until now, she's been protected by overdubbed vocals and autotune etc. so she was bound to sound a tad ropey when it came to the live shows.

I'm convinced the most important reason for them to take her through to the Lives was the mileage they could get out of her relationship with Ryan...

Don't think it matters how well she can sing because there is no way that girl is ever going to be a star........

She doesn't have any sort of look at all, and just looks like a schoolgirl who can sing.

It didn't help that Simon changed her song at the last minute and that it was in the wrong key for her.

He is odds on favourite to have the top category. I think all three will be in the top six.

i'm maybe a little biased but i thought her performances up til the live shows were amongst the few that hadn't been overdubbed and autotuned

alot of the contestants sounded quite fake and "tinny" but never once thought that listening to her

she tried to do soemthing a bit different on saturday and sounded incredibly nervous when she spoke to the judges afterwards, as well as it being a song she wasn't that familiar with, so i'm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt for now

I don't get Emily Middlemiss but in saying that I think Simon has her pegged for Top 3, so I expect to see her hanging around for a long while

I'm not so sure just wondering if he has had a change of heart , the papers seem to be running with this at it on the stairs story.

That's pretty much how I see it too. I don't think she was overdubbed and autotuned, unlike some of the others. I didn't think she was very good last Saturday, but she had a last-minute song change and the song she sang was not suitable.
