From what I can gather from the spoilers

The Emmerdale stunt is a car pile up.

Several vehicles converging at one location

The coronation street stunt is a car bomb that David intends to set off to kill Clayton

He will change his kind last minute and someone tries to disarm it but causes it to explode

Most likely Les Denni's exit

Interesting, Emmerdale sounds much better than Corrie so far.

I don't watch either of these soaps so this might be true, but please bear in mind that this poster recently created a completely fabricated thread to say that EE was filming at the cliffs of Dover and hinting this would be Ronnie and Roxy's exit. Literally no reports have come out since he made the thread, so it's safe to assume he was lying or someone was feeding him false information (though he stated it as fact.) Just a heads up.

Emmerdale is getting just like HO you can deffo tell someone from HO has joined the team. I don't even watch but just read disaster after disaster, does it ever have a quiet weeks of character driven episodes, no stunts??! HO is already the same.

Yes it does. It is fantastic at the moment in fact.

If any soap has paved the way for "disasters" and stunts it is Emmerdale, Hollyoaks just try their best to imitate (poorly) there will always be stunts on Emmerdale, it is part of it's make up and when it is bog even episodes like next week they almost always do them better than any other soap. Character driven and filmed beautifully.

However there has been less of it this year than there was under previous producer Kate Oates (you wouldn't know that because you don't watch ) when they were happening on a near weekly basis, under increasingly contrived and ridiculous circumstances, always on a Thursday, you could set your watch by it. The current producer (yes previously employed by HO) has calmed things down and focuses more on character.

Interesting that Corrie's stunt sounds like it takes place away from the street for once.

I did, it seems kind of lame and out of place. Emmerdale takes place in the country a huge car pile up is something that you would see on a busy highway in a major city.

Really? Where do you 'read' all this? I've obviously missed all these stunts of which you speak and I could've sworn I've watched almost every ep.

As someone who doesn't watch the show, please feel free to enlighten us.

I live in a country village and it has what's called a 'black spot', a stretch of road where a lot of accidents happen - the last one was about a month ago and 3 cars were involved in it.
