They really are working together as one powerhouse couple with great chemistry I'm glad for Oti that she has struck gold this year with a really capable celeb partner.
That paso was so brooding and sexy and it is only Week 3...it has become my most replayed dance so far of the series
I can't wait to see what they produce next!

I love their partnership too and am so happy for Oti after her early exit last year. Her choreography has been excellent and that back bend she did when Danny just held her foot in the VW was amazing.
i hope they can keep the standard up but worry that they're peaking too soon. It's a long way to the final yet and being so good every week must be exhausting!

Yes it is. I hope they make it to the finals

Hope she wins it. Once Anastasia is out, votes will switch to Oti.

There is no doubt that they'll be in the final - might as well go and place a bet on it at the bookies now ! The BBC will never send him home even if he happens to be in the bottom 2 - that's not likely either !

I think he is a ringer, he must have had dance experience before, but it's hard for male dancers to lead and dance well, so good luck to him. I can't see them winning.
I think it will be one of the Olympians, who will take the crown.

BIB - Totally agree, he might end up in DO later on and sure to be saved by the judges.

I enjoy their dancing but for me, chemistry is the one thing lacking. There's so much choreography that Danny always seems to be concentrating on his own performance and getting it all right, while Oti just has this constant massive grin on like she can't believe her luck. I don't really feel any connection between them yet.

That's what I always said about Pixie so I try not to say it anymore

They are a fantastic pairing. I look forward to seeing them each week.

Have to agree. Trouble is the GBP can be strange sometimes, you can be "too good"

I think it's more that he's a ringah. I really like Oti and Danny is beige but a nice dancer. But he did come into the competition every bit as trained, if not more, than Louise.

It's all on his SCD profile - he's been in productions of Wicked and Les Miserables, so definitely experienced !

As for the Olympians, well it won't be Greg because he's pigeon toed and not a good enough dancer, so Claudia could be the one. She's the one to watch out of all the girls.

I was thinking that about Claudia at the weekend too, SSL.

She definitely has the potential to get better and better, and with a very young pro too, it could be the fun, sweet partnership that the general public take to their hearts.

Danny is clearly a great dancer, but I don't see any "sizzling chemistry" at all - perhaps that will be his "j******".

Frankly, I'm getting more of a sense of Danny having "sizzling chemistry" with himself.

Much as I love and am supporting this pair, I do not see the "sizzling chemistry" between the m neither.

The way to really examine that is to strip away all of Danny's great dancing; try to imagine him as "average" - if the chemistry still appears evident, then there is definitely something there...I did the same and just couldn't see it...

Danny is a great dancer but at the moment he doesn't do anything with his free hand and sometimes his feet are sickled. Not always but sometimes when he comes out of a turn. He needs to watch that as the judges will pick up on it.

Claudia did well in the charleston, but I didn't think she was particularly good in the previous weeks. I would imagine she will be good at the livelier, fun dances, but maybe not so good at the more elegant or sexier dances.

Not seeing the 'sizzling chemistry' just yet but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The potential is there and not having that piece of the puzzle in place could work in their favour as the show progresses. The AT and the rumba could burn the dance floor if things click into place. They have shown flashes but hopefully there's more to come.

As far as this pairing's concerned I'm mostly here for Oti, I find her effortlessly mesmerising. He's obviously very good, but I think he falls into that category of being so good so early that there's a lack of anticipation about his performances - you know everything'll be slick and practically pro standard, which slightly takes the gloss off for me.

I love this pair but agree that chemistry is not quite there. My issue is similar to another post - Danny is so focused on getting the dance right that it affects the feel of the dance. I don't get the sense he is feeling the dance I get the sense he is putting the dance together and trying to get it right. I hope to see him improve in this area. It's what distances him from jay in my mind - Danny is far more consistent than jay but with Jay in some dances it felt like he really connected with the music - I don't feel that yet with Danny.

😱
Find rewatching often makes me appreciate the dance/couples more but not this one.
Can't get the love for this pairing at all yet , might change, was not a Jay fan early on last year but he'd converted me by the end.

I also dont see any sizzling chemistry between them.

I just see two people dancing at a very high level and producing excellent routines, but more in a showcase kind of way, rather than with any strong connection between them.

I'm very pleased Oti has a good partner this year - who knew? To be fair I'd never heard of this guy but was reliably informed by my son that he used to be in Hollyoaks.

I don't see any sizzle but I think that through Danny Oti is able to showcase her great choreography. I really do hope they get to the final.

I'm glad Karen Hardy picked up on Danny's hunched over posture on ITT. It really annoyed me during his Paso. No-body else seemed to notice it and I thought it was just me imagining things but Karen mentioned it too.

I enjoy him and Oti but don't get any "sizzling" chemistry at all. There is much better chemistry (of a non romantic nature) between Greg and Natalie imo.
