I suggested they do this a few years ago. More than half of the show's really successful acts are groups, so they are worth focusing on. Chemistry and having no weak links matter. The one weekend of bootcamp is not a great venue to find a set of soloists that actually work together.

Why did they reject them? Scared of telling us or something?

Thai doesn't concern me.....I watch the show for entertainment and the odd bit of drama

Didn't the original 6CC spoilers say that they were a manufactured group?

The difference is that they were put together from failed soloists at the producer auditions, not the judge auditions.

at least they're good in the garbage series we have,so it's not a problem for me.

This is a non-story. During judges house, Fleur even said something about them "still performing as individuals" so I assumed as much. Also, wasn't the most successful act in this show's history "put together"? Granted it was a later stage but still...

Yeah it's kinda obvious they was put together but they still sound very good and they have a lot of chemistry - vocals fit to - maybe they are the chosen ones

I don't mind. I think they're very good.
I find it odd that at least two of them didn't get further as solo singers in the competition, though.
Have there been any comments during this season about how long they have been together? My mind escapes me.

I don't think there's been any comments, but it's been a couple of months since they appeared on Twitter. Think it may have happened around June or so.

I don't think any of them individually would have had the stage presence for solo. Not at this age anyway. And if you're taking the groups seriously, you want to put everyone below the top 10-12 solos who fits the profile into that workshop. Maybe even a couple of top 10s (in the case of 1D who got Liam and Harry).

I'm not surprised, it's very hard to find a group who have everything, the look & the voice in one whole group. The only problem is how they will conpete with other girl group in market right now (Fifth Harmony & particularly Little Mix)

I'm surprised mostly because I normally pick up on all these things in advance but overall if they are good then it saves them wasting their time

However looking back on what the producers are like, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the plan all along. No wonder they got the pimp slot at Judges Houses. It's rare to hear so much positivity over a girlband at Judges Houses

Will be interesting to see how they go, I guarantee they will get the pimp slot this Saturday night

you can have many girl groups at once they can all take different routes in genre doesn't have to be direct competition, at one stage we had all saints, en vogue, destinys child spice girls, sugababes, girls aloud, Saturday's - they were all successful and I think the uk needs a fresh new girl group - more edgy rnb style

Obviously, it was cut from the t.v edit, but they mentioned this at 6 chair challenge.

No real problem with this, many groups are put together/manufactured by agents, execs etc. It's more difficult for groups with complementary voices and abilities, look, influence, style and so on to form organically. As we've seen, 4 of Diamonds can sing and are worthy of a place in the live shows, certainly more worthy than The Brooks and Bratavio were.

The only implication for their being formed (for me anyway) is that this whole "We love the 60s" shtick now appears inauthentic, as it was likely cooked up by the producers. And what do you know, just as they're about to return, the theme chosen is Motown.

I doubt if any members of the group know what Motown is tbh.

I don't understand how people can like them so much already. Their first audition was ok but not exactly outstanding. Their six chair challenge performance was the best of the girl bands, but it wasn't anything special. Their judges houses performance was very good, but apart from that one I haven't seen anything from them that really makes me take notice. Seems to me that the majority of the acts this year are crap and Four of Diamonds might be lucky and end up being the best of a bad bunch.

"We're adding the (possibly) best act back to a bad bunch" is enough to get viewers who are committed to the season excited.

That said their judges houses was strong technically, and they did an interesting arrangement by themselves. They had a ton of polish for a manufactured group with only a couple of weeks to prepare, which shows me they are smart and driven. 6cc showed me a little flash of something deeper. I don't think they really know what they are doing... yet... because their acoustics they posted left me totally flat. I don't see the big power voice or old souls of LM either, tbh. But they've still lucked into a few moments of real chemistry here and there by accident. That means there's actually a glimmer of potential for them to produce something interesting.

I thought girl next door were better on the night. When it was on t.v it was like listening to a whole different performance.

It showed me that they had a lot more time to prepare and that their arrangement was done by Syco and not them. Their price has crashed on the Betfair Exchange, a lot of people are betting on them.

But I agree, they're still smart and driven.

We certainly do not know this for a fact yet.

As we've already seen, alot of these acts have been getting alot of autotuning before the lives, 4 Of Diamonds could've had the same thing.

There's some reason as to why Simon brought these back as going by how alot of people are hyping these up they'll be challenging his precious Matt Terry so there must be something wrong with them for Simon to be so confident in putting them through.

We don't really know if they are any good or not yet. Lets wait and see how they perform at the weekend, and then we can judge them.

I wondered if the same happened for 5AM since they keep going on about how they've only been together a few weeks.

That's definitely my conclusion to that statement that they keep making.
