My iCloud mail is giving problems: I can't bring it up- it seems to show for a fraction of a second then disappears back to the general contents screen, with safari, mail, etc buttons at foot of screen. Previously I could press the 'Mai' button and my iCloud screen would appear for me to navigate around the various boxes and read and send emails.
Prior to the present situation, I was getting the inbox with the list of messages on the left and could screen a selected one, but almost immediately the whole thing would disappear and take me back to the contents page.
Any ideas/ solutions on what I need to do to sort it out, please ?

Double click the Home button, and swipe the Mail app up to close it. Then try opening again.

If that doesn't work, do a soft reboot by holding down the home and power buttons for a few seconds until the Apple logo appears.

Thank you, Stig: couldn't 'swipe the Mail app up' - not sure how that would be done, the Mail button is at the foot of the screen showing all the various subjects, but it won't move. There's no 'Mail app' showing.
Tried the second suggestion, no joy- after doing that, pressing the Mail button gives a flash but returns instantly to the home screen.

Thank you- I followed the vid instructions, but the side-swipe screens were just two blank pages off what appeared to be the message pages pro-forma.
Anyway, Stig, the service has resumed without any further intervention!

My current problem is trying to manage the Storage. I have none available and have gone into Settings and brought up the storage page details, but following tapping the Manage Storage button, a list appears. I've tapped on a few in the list but there's no apparent way I can make any deletions. Are you able to help, please? I'll open a new post on it anyway.
