Since his troubled season of 11/12 at Aston Villa, Big Eck has spent very brief spells managing at Forest, Genk and in Egypt, but these have all ended badly.
Do you think he will ever get another decent manegerial job in football, or has he failed too many times for him to be considered as a serious candidate for any top job?

Hardly in the running for any so guess his stock isn't vey high when you consider the merry go around that is British management at times.

Not unless he can find a club who are looking for a manager who specialises in 6-3-1 formations.

Once a manager takes one of those jobs way outside the usual circles it's rare to see them come back. Robson, Reid, Taylor, Kean, Gregory, all the lads.

Plus, they're all shit.

I agree that that would likely be his best bet.

I don't think Celtic would want an ex-Rangers manager.

There's been a lot of sackings of managers in both the ELP and The Championship over the last couple of months, but I've noticed that McLeish's name is never mentioned for any of these vacancies. Perhaps his time really has passed now? I think it's a shame if that is the case; he wasn't that bad IMO. Perhaps if he was willing to take charge of a League 1 side and guide them to promotion then it could get him noticed again for the right reasons.
