Evett (Nadia maiden name) - diminutive form of the female given name "Eve"

Lenhart (Jorn) translates as brave lion

Reed- a tall stalked plant. Upstanding!?

Giroux - the surname derives from a French word meaning either lance or wolf

In Greek, the name Sophie means wisdom.

I think this may be considered a spoiler in one respect - but I don't know how to do spoilers!

I was thinking of Reed as in an element of a musical instrument - ie used to produce sound. Also there is a Reed warbler, a bird with a beautiful song voice. As opposed to Stone which is unmoving and silent.

Sorry, sorry everyone I know I'm being a pain, but if you read the article I've linked to in my last post DON'T DON'T DON'T read the comments!!!.

Someone has said that the script for the final episode has been leaked online (although I've done a quick search and can't find anything) - and has given away the (alleged) ending.

I don't think it's true, but nevertheless it has completely ruined my Sunday, and probably every day until Wednesday evening. I'm boycotting the comments on all media sites from now on

There are quite a few things Julien doesn't know:

The identity of the third girl, Lena Garber.
The fact that Eve and Jorn know Lena's identity.
The fact that Lena disappeared and when.
That Lena's family were friends of Gettrick.
That Jorn was murdered by Gettrick and his body left in a car in an underground car park.
That Gettrick texted the Polizei with a excuse for Jorn's absence.
That Lucy exists.
That Mr. Squibbles is Lucy's toy.
That Gettrick has fled to Switzerland.
That Lucy, Sophie and Alice are all now in Switzerland too.
That Alice and Matthew fought over the monkey.
That Gettrick forgot his cash when he fled.

and of less relevance to the plot:

That Matthew was involved with the Adler twins beating up Stone.
That Eve is pregnant by Sam.

I have had a good search and can't find the script anywhere so I think we are safe 😀
The person who left a comment on your link is clearly someone who just wants to seemingly ruin it for everyone. (I have not read the comments, just wanted to know if someone was so silly to leak the script)
Whatever they have written, I would doubt it's true. It would be big headlines as it now seems EVERYONE is watching.

At least I have something to look forward to when The Missing finishes. Broadchurch is back next year ❤️

BIB

Eve doesn't well not yet she doesn't, only Jorn knew that's what got him killed.

Good first series. Gave up after 2 episodes of 2nd. Definitely a case of flogging a dead horse. It was a one series story that was being stretched because it was popular. I was dubious when Missing was going to second series but thankfully they went with a totally different story.

There has been one photograph which seems to appear in the free listings guides and many newspapers and their online versions which gives some clue as to the nature of the ending. Only the BBC or the production company can have released this.

I would not go out of my way to try and find a leaked script but it is difficult to avoid all potential spoilers to the finale at this stage.

This says it's a completely new story. I just love David Tennant in all honesty ❤️

That cannot be the ending. It is even bloody worse than the fox in the first series.

Re: Broadchurch 3: Oh no, not another sexual assault plot. I'm not trivialising it and I know it must go on but why is this now the first and last refuge of crime drama?

You are right. Eve knows no more than Julien about Lena except that Jorn was going to try and identify her. Apologies.

But the fact that she asked Jorn means she knows something ie a third girl with Alice's necklace on...

Baptiste doesn't seem to know anything even after seeing the photo, it is strange Gemma didn't mention third girl to Julien or did she? I can't remember. She seemed to only tell Eve.

Yes she told Baptiste but he made little of it. He was looking at photo in the Square when he started having his flashbacks. Eve hasn't followed up either with Jorn. The fact that this is being delayed says it must feature in final episode. Add on Sam not being shown picture of Lena.

Baptiste fans - lovely little BBC video with Julien warning us that ep one is expiring on iPlayer. 💕💕

Eve is piecing it together and will act in last episode. She left the Iraq stuff on PC so Gemma would find it. She'll be the one to find out about Jorn I bet.

Sky + The Missing so I've got all the episodes. ITV leave their series up longer on the hub.

If it's a new story / cast might give it a go.

Ooh I hope so ! Poor Jorn he's still in the boot 😢

I love the relationship between Eve and Gemma. There is a grudging respect there. It's a shame about the affair and the baby, they could have been great friends.

Asked ourselves if maybe Sam is not Alice's father?

I was awake half the night with the words "it was staring me in the face all along" going through my head so am too weary to suggest any salient points to support that theory.

Spoiler
There is a BBC preview trailer for ep 8 showing Sophie it looks like she's on the edge of a steep bit of mountain. Is she planning to jump as her mother did ? Gemma and Sam running through the woods, Gemma seems to see Sophie and desperately shouts for Sam. I'm hoping that he saves her from jumping, it may absolve how he feels about not being able to save whoever was in the burning shed.

In tags as it relates to a BBC trailer for Wednesday and my thoughts on it.
