Well now that we know that Mirza's little sister was also involved, we now understand the Iraqi link.

The fact that Isil is part of the story-telling is just a necessary off-shoot of the fact that this story involves the British army and Daniel has gone awol to help fight them.

I like your theory, but only glitch is that brigadier didn't have Sophie killed as she turned up in Switzerland... So the whole shed thing needs explaining.

So why did she go and buy petrol?

Oh come on. After episode 2, i cant get every bit right.

To connect Brig to Reed and the girls was my eureka moment. There was no clue to what followed.

I will come back with more.

Sophie/Alice at the end was in the same place in Switzerland as the yellow/red VW camper from last week. Thoughts? Driving it herself? With a companion? She said to the waiter she was taken so wonder who she's referring to??

To burn the body.

Was it definitely Fake Alice in the flower shop? She was wearing similar clothes but seemed different.

I meant the girl in the cafe. That was clearly not Birzanis sister.

Birzanis named Reed and Eve's father as those who were sending guilt money.

That is very ambitious and doubtful but who knows.

Someone had to buy the petrol, and it had to be in or near the shed for the plan to work. Think about it, who burns themself alive if they want to commit suicide.

The way I understand...correct me if I'm wrong...

Eve was definitely pregnant in 2014 & looks to have lost the baby...not a fake pregnancy,

Sophie who returned as Alice in 2014 is alive in 2016 in a cafe still looking spooky to me.

The burnt girls body in the shed was either Alice or another girl but either way Sam was the girls father due to the DNA match.

Can't believe we have another 4 episodes to watch!!!

? Everyone knows because Sophie appeared at the end of the show sitting outside the café.

Continuation of my theory

The girls were badly treated. Sophie, now shown alive had burst appendix. The real Alice was dead or very near death.

Henry Reed allows Sophie to escape due to her horrible medical condition. Told to say she is Alice so she will be treated at the army hospital and not sent to France.

The Brig. Stone arranges for Alices body to be brought into the shed and set fire to it.

With the threat that if Sophie does not do what she is asked then the third girl will suffer.

Third girl not Iraqi as she will be impossible to be smuggled out by British army.

She is another missing girl.

You know what the say when you really cannot make up your mind between two choices? You need a third choice!

I've been sitting here staring at the wall trying to think possibilities through... what is this show doing to me.

They seem to be setting up a side-story here of lack of co-operation between different countries jurisdictions.

They covered that- when parents positively ID a child, DNA isn't required. When dead bodies are identified by family members they don't run DNA then do they? It's only when anyone queries it that tests are run, and at the time, no one was querying it. Only us as viewers of a crime show.

Wonder how Sophie got out of the shed if it was locked from the outside??

Love this series!

It can't be the same actress as fake Alice

She laid the flowers, bought petrol then burned herself in my opinion. The theory that she placed another body in the shed is unlikely.

That's what I thnk. The girl sitting behind the other two is wearing a necklace. Maybe Sophie nicked it off her. It could be the one she was playing with when she slept n the shed.
The girl must have died earlier on.

I think I agree. Although not because it's impossible to smuggle her out, but just because Stone & Reed were abusing girls wherever they went. The next question then is why they went as far as France for Sophie.

I didn't think so initially, but am coming round to the idea that it was the third girl.

Love this series!”

The key was left in the padlock - if there was a window in the door, easy to break to get at padlock. Or she could have broken a window to climb out - a broken window would hardly have been noticeable after such an inferno.

edit...or someone let her out!
