I agree with this precis except that now we have a third girl (or even 4th if we count Mirza's little sister) we can't assume that the girl who returned was Sophie either.

I don't think they were blaming the miscarriage on the fall- it seemed to me more of a heads up story-telling wise that something bad was about to happen.

I think we've already accepted that if the released girl was actually Sophie, then she'd learnt perfect Englsh from a mixture of having an English mother and being incarcerated with the real English Alice for 11 years.

In 2014 when Gemma is arguing with Sam when he is in the hospital bed she says where were you when she (Alice) was a baby & I think she says my daughter a little to strongly for it to mean nothing...

If Sam was not around when Alice was born where was he...away in Iraq or was he not with Gemma then so not Alice's dad or were they seperated???
