![]() Maybe make sure it hasn't knocked off your caller display too like it did mine. Dial your own number to be sure ![]() Darren |

Yes caller display has been knocked off. Like what happened with you TraceT. How do I get the service back on.

I have seen found out how to re add the caller display after going on the BT Communityforums that I sometimes also use.
Seems strange that if you downgrade a phone package that BT just seem to also knock off caller display. Darren |

No I had to take it for another 12 months there was no other option and dad being n his early 80s likes to have an idea of who's calling before he answers.

Darren I do find it odd that BT charge for BT Privacy with caller display after the 12months have expired, but don't offer you the ability to add it and pay for it on a monthly basis yourself. It's what I was intending to do till my other contracts ran out. But as it's not possible to do that, I put up without it for a couple of months due to it being knocked off an all that. I was shopping around and prepared to move providers till I got a good price for re-contracting with BT for another 12months. I'm happy with that and I have everything lined up together now.

It also strange that if you downgrade a phone package that BT knock off caller display. They should not that. My BT privacy with caller display don't get re activated till tomorrow the order says. I could have lived without it until I renewed all my BT contracts near the end of January if it was not for dad using caller display to give him an idea of whos calling before he will answer phone. For hes now in his early 80s and in the last few years has started to go partly deaf and he will now not always answer the phone to a number hes not sure of. He also has to wear reading glasses a little more than he used to. Even I have a 2%/3% hearing loss. Darren |

Have just noticed that BT have also knocked of there BT 1571 answer sericve. I also never asked for this to be knocked off when I changed call package to just free weekends. I had to reorder the service just now for its a service that we need incase Knowone is in and the GP surgery or that tries to call for dad gose for check ups every 6 months.
Do not see why if you downgrade a call package that BT has to also knock of the calling features that you also have on your line. This is so anoying. Darren |

I didn't have that service. But, agree as to why does changing one service affect another. I have read about it knocking the caller display off before on the BT Forums quite a while back, so annoyed it's still happening without anything been done.
Sorry to hear how it's affecting your dad too ![]() Darren |

Sorry - I have only seen your post (I don't login into DS very often)
In all I am paying £42.09 for Infinity 2 (upto 70MB) Unlimited + Privacy Caller ID + Anytime calls and Line Rental. Don't know if a good deal, but I felt that it wasn't bad considering Broadband alone would have been £32/month from BT. As I frequently use BT's SmartTalk app on my mobile and also logon to BT Wifi away from the home, I didn't want to leave BT so it was a bit of a game to get a price reduction (play the 'I want to leave because I can get a better deal...') ![]() MilnrowLad |

Line rental is a scam. It should be abolished.
