This programme is nothing without Sean Locke. Totally and utterly vapid. Missing Jon too.

It slowed down a bit, but was far better than last week.

Next week - Fred Siriex, Thomas Turgoose, Sara Pascoe and Desiree Burch.

I've honestly only ever heard of Sara Pascoe - she's nice but not particularly funny. The other three, i've never heard of.

Oh dear. I'll have to give that a miss. Can't bear Fred on 'his' programme, let alone anything else. Thomas Turgoose is mostly obnoxious and annoying. I like Sara but don't always find her that funny (oops, same as you said) - not heard of the other one.

Anyway, Sean is good so I do kind of miss him, but not having Jon on it is a massive bonus.

Some funny bits that were probably written for them. Didn't like the two team captains. How long before Rob mentions his teeth every time

I think Zeppatron didn't care much about 'Cats' and decided to give it one last chance with new team captains.

It won't last past this series is my prediction.

I also wonder if they've picked the right channel

It probably would easily if Sean and Jon were still team captains though.

So why did 8 out of 10 cats end, were the viewing figures so bad? Is there an article about this? For me 8 out of 10 cats does countdown ran its course, even with sean locke, so I stopped watching in the hope that the normal show would resurface.

It hasn't ended, they've just got new team captains and it's been moved to More 4.

I'm making the obvious assumption that it was moved to more 4 because of low viewing figures and that the old team captains did not think it was worth their while continuing with the show ( presumably because of lower wages and of little help to them of their actual careers of comedians).

It was certainly better this week, but I just can't stand Joey Essex. I seriously despise his whole "I'm really think, me" act.

Who actually likes? I will never understand how he keeps getting booked on TV

Ah, but could he spell "thick" correctly? That's the real question here!

If the channel doesn't realise what they have in 8 Out of 10 then it is its own stupid fault. For such an easy program to make it got a lot of laughs and repeats. It's like a lowbrow Mock The Week, unplagued by BBC PC in foisting women comedians who hadn't matured onto the panel, as part of some kind of equality drive. But if this dictat is spreading to C4 then it's just another nail in the coffin started by losing Lock.

This got rubbish so I stopped watching it.

Now they have new team captains and it is worth watching again.

Aisling Bea is funny, uncompromising, sexy and as filthy as ****. 😀

But Aisling is the filthiest female comedian around. She is REALLY dirty. 😀

It wasn't too bad this evening, but it wasn't great. All of the guests were of an even performance - average, but Rob Beckett saved the day being the best by miles, even though he uses his teeth a little too much.

Aisling Bea had her strongest night of three so far and I hope to see her continue to improve because she was still bang average, but Sara Pascoe was bouncing off of her and helping her along, although team captains shouldn't need a guest to get them going. The captains are their to help the guests and lead, not the other way around, but a slightly improved performance.

Like Damien_Johnson, I don't see this getting another series after this one unless it drastically improves.

😳😳 I would pay very good money to watch Sara Pascoe bouncing off Asling Bea and helping her along. 😂

And I am very confident , very very confident that Aisling would be more than an average bang. 😂😂

Enjoying the new show. Aisling is a very funny young woman and she worked well with Sara Pascoe.

This is certainly fresher and funnier than the dull Countdown version of the show on C4.

I'm still yet to laugh at anything after 3 shows. It's just not working without Sean and Jon, especially Sean.

It's now just another panel show where they have replaced the team captains and expect it to work just as well as before.

How do you know they were funnier if you are not able to assess how funny the new ones are (given you "completely miss what they say")? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
