Not a fan of DRM so maybe I wouldn't want to download if I couldn't transfer it onto any external drive I want, but is buying from Amazon Video completely just streaming. If you moved into a poor broadband area such as parts of the Highlands of Scotland you wouldn't be able to access your Amazon video library then would you, and you'd have to cancel Netflix as there's no download option with them either. BBC Store though does offer downloads (with DRM), is there an option I've missed in making your Amazon video purchases downloadable out of curiosity, with Amazon MP3 music you can certainly download that!

TV purchases are still just too inflexible and they wonder why people torrent, because at least with torrented or ripped files, you are free to play them on whatever, such as your bedroom TV with only a DVD player that you can put a USB flash drive into and so on.

I only have a few films on Amazon that I can't otherwise get on Blu-Ray so not a huge issue! Even with those I have ways of recording them back in full HD, if I can be bothered to to add them to the more general collection.
