Could be tricking us? Maybe it's going to be a surprised unannounced exit?

The way things are going these days it will probably be the most boring soap at xmas.

What I'd like

A reunion for Dee and Kush.
A Christmas wedding for Honey and Billy
Phil dies 😁😇
Something withMax
The Beale's finds out they're bankrupt.
Stacey finds out she's expecting Martin's child.

I think Whitney won't be going anywhere

How long is Denise with her pregnancy? Any chance of her giving birth around Christmas?

I hope low key and happy doesn't mean boring. I don't fancy 60 minutes of watching them all eating xmas dinner and pulling crackers. Christmas is a big day for the soaps, it needs that oomph. Last year's corrie Christmas episode wasn't dramatic and it was a load of crap.

I agree about Denise and Kush. I hope that their relationship is revisited soon.

A happy christmas?! wtf EastEnders is supposed to be miserable and depressing at Christmas, it's tradition.

I am all for a quieter xmas then the norm but they need something to happen otherwise it'll be considered dull and boring and 'is that it?' which I think won't go down very well.

The BBC will want to win the ratings so I'm sure they won't have an hour of eating and laughing. The thought of scenes like that with the Carters gives me shivers.

Lee is 100% going to die, but it'll be before Christmas. Besides, a suicide on Christmas Day is far too grim even for EastEnders. I won't be watching if that is the case.

Spoiler

Christmas Eve
The bins won't be collected today due to snow leaving residents furious.

Christmas Day
The bins won't be emptied today because it's Christmas Day.

Boxing Day
Ronnie and Roxy wake up in the bin bags after a heavy night of drinking.

27th December
Emmerdale clash so no one watching

29th December
Ian sees money opportunity as he takes all the waste to incinerator.

New Year's Eve
Ronnie and Roxy lay dead at the incinerator. Max returns and pipebombs the Beale's house.

Something like that

could be fairly easy - first person - from the forum - who goes to Clarendon Rd after 1st November**) opens a new thread "EE; today I've met/seen"

I go a couple of times a year (OK, live on the other side of the North Sea - but always reserve one day for Borehamwood when in London) - last year one of the times I was there was 9th November - and they were already well into January, so knew the cast I saw that day would survive Xmas/NYE 2015.

2003 and 2005 were both Happy Christmas, I like I said in other thread, I like 2005 episode, better then 2004.

I thought last year episode was boring, so happy one would be a nice change

This it what I would like to see but are EastEnders brave enough to do a suicide storyline?

Bobby left Denny in the woods. Phil and Ian went to rescue him and had....a car crash (just for a change). Denny was in a coma (just for a change )

Am I alone in enjoying the last two Christmas episodes? Last year's had me gripped, even if it was sensationalsitic.

If they're going for low-key, perhaps focus on the aftermath of certain events e.g Lee's depature and Linda going, Phil being ill and some happiness in The Fowler's household. Keep it simple and to the point like it has been, you'll be fine.

There was also Dean nearly raping Roxy, Shirley trying to kill him and the wedding day drama.

Last years was good, I liked Jane's Nightmare. 2014's was alright but the drama was stretched out until the end of the episode which wasn't good. I do think though a quieter Christmas will be good this year, even if there isn't sensationalism there can still be drama.

In a way, good. I'm bored of the last couple of 'sensationalist' claptrap we've had the last few years. I'm quite enjoying the way the show is being written at the moment, so if they carry on the same way with longer scenes between characters, it might be a decent one.

In another way, EUGH, EastEnders is SUPPOSED to be miserable at Christmas. It doesn't necessarily have to be explosions and death and destruction but I should feel happy that my own family isn't as screwed up as what's happening onscreen. 2007 will never be beaten!

NY was the Carter wedding, Dean trying to kill Shirley and Dean's arrest. Was pretty good.

Looks like it's going to centre on Max's explosive return. Media centre announced today what they have planned for Christmas.
