Don't think there was anything Rhod could have done to save last nights You're Fired, it was like getting blood out of a stone. I don't think Natalie had a clue what was going on.

Man Karthik should've been fired, that man looks like an absolute nightmare to work with.

On another note, I wonder if we will hear that scratchie quote from Sugar at the end of this weeks ep, in next weeks boardroom.

Never have I seen an episode of The Apprentice where both the teams were utterly woeful. I thought there was going to be a double elimination, one from each team.

Last night was the first time I've watched The Apprentice in years. I watched last week's You're Fired just to see how bad they were and saw the trail for this week so had to watch.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

I've tweeted Karren, Claude and Sir Alan asking if they can rename next year's show "Demented Dimwits".

How only one of them got fired is beyond me. At least one from each team would have been well.

Would have chucked off mono-brow guy for sure.

Does anyone else think the crew high five each other for finding the most gormless inept business people in the country?

Haven't rewatched on iplayer, but in the first minute there was a clip which clearly comes from a future episode (as Alana was clearly in a team with some of the boys) That immediately told me 'Well none of them will be getting fired tonight'

Do wish the producers wouldn't do that.

It was right that Natalie went. She was out of her depth. She looked confused all the time and clearly wasn't up to it.

You knew Jessica was safe on that basis as well

Is it just me or was this the most cringe-worthy episode of The Apprentice in a while?

There were sooo many moments where I found it excruciating to watch, like Jessica breaking down, Karthik going on some bizarre power trip, the presentations, the adverts, Jessica being so weird in the Bridge Café, Alana breaking down in the boardroom, Karthik talking over LS, Natalie essentially saying "I did eff all" over and over, this was an absolutely painful week.

Maybe i'm imagining it but I think that Alan has really put the whole game show element of it at the forefront of the show. I think he realises that people are fed up of his own ego and no longer really take the programme seriously as a serious business show anymore. I noticed that he stays quiet for pretty long stretches in the boardroom and lets the contestants duke it out amongst themselves for a good while.

Another thing that supports this is Karren Brady's fiestiness, which seems to have increased this season.

The show has lost its integrity, but funnily enough, still worth watching.

Karthick making sure the cameras were there before launching his 'Come outside' speech did feel like a set up, with the producers saying 'Look guys, we need some conflict here' the deal being Karthik wouldn't be fired because he was only doing what the producers wanted.

The show is essentially now Big Brother in a boardroom, with people picked for their ridiculous personalities rather than any kind of business sense.

It's still enjoyable but it's a different show to what it used to be!

I'm not the only 1 who deliberately misses the first couple of minutes and switches channels the moment they say "Lord Sugar's search for his new business partner continues" am I? I just don't like any clues at the start or the end as to if people are potentially still going to be involved a few weeks down the lines, or finding out what happens the next week etc.

Yes, I was thinking that, too... I don't think they've ever cut straight from the Taxi Of Doom to "Next time on the Apprentice" before, without the Boardroom escapees returning to the house first for hugs and post-mortems... perhaps it was just a time thing...?

I wondered what went on there too. I'd have liked to seen the reactions to Karthik and Jessica coming back!

I spent the entire episodes thinking the boys are going to lose no waqit the girls are going to lose. This is terrible from the boys oh wait the girls have done something bad as well. I was flip flopping more then a Donald Trump on women.

Karthik was horrible though. I would have fired him. Probably Jessica as well. Karthik was very annoyting and selfish and Jessica was a fish on dry land gasping for breath.

I do that for every reality show. I don't need a reminder of what happened previously and most certainly don't need a run down of the episode that hasn't even started yet.

I'm sure that TPTB will reply to say that the overpowering reaction is favourable (despite being unable to prove anything to confirm or dismiss that statement), and that "We the Broadcasters are always right and that you the listeners and viewers know nothing about anything, so go and boil your collective heads"

Unless there was no reaction? With some of the nastiness going on between the girls, I can't imagine them cosying up for a collective chat. Atmosphere must be horrible between some of them.

Of course it is about the personalities. If it was serious then:

1. They would start by examining the business plans
2. They would set some real business tasks (how about going into a failing business, reviewing the figures and interviewing staff then producing a report about how it could be improved, for example).
3. I'd enjoy this format but viewing figures would plummet. End of series.

It's a game show, pure and simple.

Karthik has some serious mental issues. How deluded is he?

NumptiesRUs.

That has to be the worst ever episode.

No humour at all.

Miserable talentless bunch of no marks.

About as deluded as the Emeritus Professor of Delusion at Insane University (formerly Nutters College).

Makes me appreciate last year's lot! I'd have loved to see Richard face up to Karthik or Vana take control of the girls!

anyone gets to see the you're fired show? It's really gone downhill like the candidates this year, host is horrible and the jokes are lame
