PEK tinned pork
This is rather nice and better than Spam. Leaner and higher pork content. Nice in sandwiches or grilled with chips or wedges. On offer at present. £1 instead of £1.85 for a 300g tin. A 200g tin is £1.

Nothing wrong with tinned meat, or fish for that matter, occasionally. At least you can have a tin or two in the cupboard in case you've nothing else that you fancy that day or for sandwiches. I love tinned corned beef too. Obviously if you've any sense you won't eat tinned meat every day though!

When I was a kid PEK was the the best quality tinned meat. We used to have the tinned stewing steak all the time

Revolting stuff. Used to have it all of the time when I was a younger but my tastes matured (though I still love corned beef). I had some for the first time in years recently when I visited my mum for the weekend and she made some Pek sandwiches for lunch.I only ate them to be polite.
