I wonder if anyone can help, my husband has a Samsung A3 mobile phone which I bought him for Christmas last year. He upgraded his tariff with O2 and got a new sim. However I have just discovered that he has never had 4G on his phone. Yesterday he went to the O2 shop and they changed his sim card again. However he still cannot connect to 4G and the only option is Auto 2G/3G or 2G or 3G. It's very puzzling and any advice would be very welcome. It is a 4G phone as my daughter has the same model and has no problem.

Wonder if your OH's account hasn't been provisioned for 4G on o2?

Don't know if this free text works anymore but try getting Settings sent to 2020 and it might send through the relevant information for mobile data etc.

Yes his account has been provisioned for 4G by O2 and they sent all the settings again yesterday after he got a new sim. I think I'll try my sim in his phone as I can get 4G although it isn't a Samsung. Beginning to think it's a problem with the phone. Can't say husband is particularly bothered but is is annoying me!

Tried the old trick of turning it off and on again since the settings update?

Yes we tried that but didn't make any difference. Another visit to O2 shop is next.
